Another check in Shula's column IMO. In '75, '77 and '78 we did not make the playoffs despite being 10-4 or 11-3. Who knows? Under today's wild card format we may have made another SB run (or 2). Fewer teams, fewer playoff spots - you can't discount these w/l records just because there were no playoffs:
