Is Turner still injured? Or just not being picked? I don't recall seeing him on injury reports recently, but could well be wrong?

(and yes I know he is a rookie and a very raw one, I don't mind that he isnt on the field yet, im just wondering if he is healthy)

He's healthy now, and has been for a few weeks. He's just got some catching up to do. No worries right now though,

I believe last week he wasn't active but has been healthy. I'd like to see him come in at guard when theres an injury instead of Thomas. I'm actually glad we had the sense to put Garner in last week

I heard something about an incident in the lunch room and something about slamming a tray down and leaving.

I get the joke, but Billy Turner has never been considered "Soft" or even a "Finesse" player. He will learn and be a long-term starter for the future.

They are probably being cautious with his turf toe and right now we have the best 5 out there and do not need him anyway. If at some point we are eliminated from the playoffs, I'd get him some reps.

Didn't say it was Billy Turner...didn't say when it happened either.

I'd say it's safe to think he's "redshirting" barring a few injuries to the linemen getting time (Pouncey, Colledge, Smith, Thomas, Garner). I like his prospects for the future, though. It's quite a jump from the level he played at in college.

I'm expecting him to start next year. Probably taking Colledge's spot at LG. Still think we need to draft another Guard though.

Camp battle next year should get spicy.

Turner, Smith, Thomas

Probably another mid round draft pick at G.

I've always liked the college OT to OG transition, increases size inside without loosing too much movement skills and enables the opportunity to kick players outside if they show the ability to play OT again. So in this case I'm very curios to see Turner get some reps at some stage this season to see if he is a potential solution and therefore save on a draft pick for LG next year and perhaps just focus on RG which should be the only spot to fill with a move back inside by Pouncey for next year.

P.S. Always felt that a 4th / 5th round pick on Seantrel Henderson would have been a low risk RG solution for us after picking James in Rd 1. Would have given great size inside to specifically combat the Jets/Bils interior. Hey ho.

I sure he starts at LG next year ... im still not a fan of Colledge .. even for this year

How much Turner plays this season will come down to a couple key things. First, injuries. Second, team record. As long as everyone is healthy and the team is challenging for a playoff spot there's no reason to play him. If injuries take their toll or the team record goes in the crapper then Turner gets a lot of run.
