Chambers has a bigger cap hit then Booker. Chambers' is $3.3 million and Booker is $2.9 million. Is he worth it? Yes. Just because he hasn't shown much this preseason, he is still an excellent receiver and I am glad we have him. We have him signed longterm, and he is one of the few humble players in the NFL(Like Ronnie).

Marty Booker's salary is definitely hurts our Salary Cap but it isn't going to be as much of a problem now as it's going to be next year. I'm hoping that he restructures his contract because really do think that we could be in very bad shape with our CAP and I do feel it necessary for Booker to take a pay cut because as much as I want him on this team... I don't think he should be getting paid close to 3 million.

I know that. My point was that with him being a humble guy, we don't have to worry about re-signing him until after the 2008 season. If we do intend to keep him that long, I don't think we have to worry about him holding out.

$3mil is not a lot if he is going to be a solid #2 WR (which i dont see any reason for him not to be). be realistic...chambers contract is much bigger and he hasnt even proven himself yet like booker already has

You know what I'm sick and tired of? I'm sick and tired of hearing how Boston and Chambers are MORE ENTERTAINING TO WATCH, so people think they're better receivers. NEWS FLASH for you people on that bandwagon: that's not what the position is about. Marty Booker isn't the physical specimen that either of the other guys are, but he understands the fundamentals. Run great routes. Get lost in coverage. Make the catch. Those are the things Marty Booker is about, and it's why he is the best WR on the roster. If he did have the physical attributes the others have along with the other great attributes he has, he'd be giving the likes of Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice the run for their money.

What more did you want out of Booker last year? Jeez -- some of you act like Marty Booker played for an entirely different team than the rest of the Dolphins who blew last year. He was the one player with the single best reason for not performing. He came to the team later than anybody else, and he had *nobody* to help him along with the offense. Have you forgotten that even the OC didn't know the offense? Even given that, he eventually found a role he could play and settled in to be fairly productive.
