Is Booker worth the money??!!

What more did you want out of Booker last year? Jeez -- some of you act like Marty Booker played for an entirely different team than the rest of the Dolphins who blew last year. He was the one player with the single best reason for not performing. He came to the team later than anybody else, and he had *nobody* to help him along with the offense. Have you forgotten that even the OC didn't know the offense? Even given that, he eventually found a role he could play and settled in to be fairly productive.

beautifully written. I don't understand why Booker has become so hated. My theory was that he was upset at becoming a Dolphin because of the circumstances and a lot of people harbor ill will towards him because of it. Last year I cannot think of any big mistakes Booker made. He was one of the better offensive performers. He is still should have a good solid 4 years left if there isn't an injury.

Without hitting on a draft pick in the 2nd round you are not going to get a reciever of his calibar for that price.

Well if youre going to excuse Booker's play then you have to do the same with Feeley, the Oline, etc. McMike had a great year with terrible Qb's, Chambers did pretty good. Booker has the ability, Im not hating on the guy or saying that he isnt capable of more, I said that he is capable of better play. If he puts up the same numbers this year as last year he won't be here at that cap number, thats indisputable, thats all I said. Its true whether its not so nice or not. As was stated earlier in this post by other posters, plenty of Wr's have great years with bad Qbs and bad offenses, as Booker did with the Bears years ago. Bookers a decent player but one good year with the Bears years ago doesnt make you worth 3mill a year if youre playing subpar.

* When minicamp started, did you see Booker?
* When minicamp ended, did you see Booker?
* When training camp started, did you see Booker?

I didn't see you saying crap about anybody else on this offense. Why do so with Booker? You singled him out saying he has to do better when it's true of everyone on this offense except maybe for Randy.

If we're going to say a WR hasn't broken out despite his situation and may not deserve his money, why the hell aren't we saying it about Chambers? Where is his Pro Bowl appearance? Where is his 1000 yard season? Why are you dogging Booker when he has been underperforming for years now based upon your standards?

ETA: I have every confidence in Marty to significantly improve his stats, and I look forward to going through it blow by blow on this board.

I only wrote about Booker because thats what this post is about.....its not a Feeley or Chambers or Oline thread. Sorry for sticking to the thread topic...
I never said Booker didnt have 'reasons' for not having a great year, just that if he has the same year he won't be here for that money. Youre taking things personally and Im having trouble understanding it. Booker makes 3 mill, he needs to play better this year to stay around at that salary, thats all i said and its 100% undisputable, he has to play better than last year to be around at that pricetag. Calm down and stop assuming what Im thinking. Bookers a phin and I hope he gets 100+catches and 1600+ yards and makes the probowl. And yea Chambers does need to step it up also, he's been underachieving, he should be getting 1400 yds a year and 10 tds or more.
