Is Brian Cushing worth the 25th pick?

Please excuse my iggnorance but I really did see Cushing play that much since i watch a lot of sec football. I have seen scouts say that Miami would jump on him if he was there at 25, but I am asking would a handfull of you out their take him with this pick. I guess he has become the flavor of the week or month, but I just dont see it. I was thinking more offensive line or a pass rushing specialist like Sintim from UVA and maybe now Corner but I think that pick can be held off to the 2nd round. So what do you think? Cushing if available at 25 ???
 
Yes, he'd be worth the pick as an ILB in our defense. He could also play LB in our nickel packages and possibly even the dime package.

I tend to doubt he'd make it beyond the Buccaneers' pick, if he fell that far.

I highly doubt he gets past the Saints. Cushing-Vilma-Fujita= nice 4-3 LB corp.
 
Am I the only one who thinks his stick will stay high because the "Path To The Draft" that is following him on NFL Network? It's just keeping his name fresh, and his face all over tv.

I'd be surprised if the people that watch "Path To The Draft" are the ones making draft decisions for teams (atleast now that M.Millen is not making decisions). So unless the general public make draft picks then I think his hype is legit.
 
I dont think Millen was smart enough to watch NFL Network even. I always thought he picked names out of a hat.
 
I think he is overrated, Clay Mathews I think is going to end the better LB out of USC in this years draft.
 
Anybody know how Sintim, English, Maybin, and Mathews looked like at the Combine?
 
2 things:

1. he won't make it that far if we are unlucky enough the Pats take him before we have a shot

2. he is kinda injury prone, i dont doubt his skills. but i think taking a corner at that spot is almost a necessity
 
We might find a great corner @ 25, but in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round, we can find good enough corners too....Now, if a GREAT pass rusher is there (English, Sintim, or Johnson), we have to consider with our 1st...Porter alone cannot do it, and if he gets hurt, we are in trouble, BOMBS AWAY.......
