With Marty being fired tonight. Do you think Cam is regretting taking the dolphin job when now he would have gotten the head coaching job in SD? I sure hope he dont dump us like Saben did.

Where did you see that Marty was fired?

Never mind i found the artical.

According to Cam in his press conference, he said this was his dream job, he grew up a Dolphin fan. If he was telling the truth, I don't think regrets anything.

With the title of this thread I though you had some news tidbit or insight into something that actually happened to show Cameron might be regretting becoming the HC.

Cameron has said he loves S. FL. and he has family here.
He also said he grew up as a Dolphin fan.
I don't think he regrets it at all but whose to say but Cameron himself. Would he rather have had the Charger HC gig, maybe but he's not going to "dump us". He can't unless we let him out of his contract altogether for him to negotiate with San Diego and that aint happening.

Saban wanted out of the NFL altogether. He didn't want to move to another team. That's why Huzienga let him out.
I wouldn't worry about Cameron.

Cam Cameron loves being the miami dolphin head coach, imagine the person or company that gives you your break at the highest position in your craft,

if he is a good man than he will be forever grateful and loyal to our team,,,unlike saban the punk

i think if anything cam is proble miffed at the front office of san diego for being overlooked for that job...what im trying to say is that imho i knew marty was gone..i bet we wanted that job and maybe he feels snubbed at it...i think they would of went with wade phillips maybe cause of hc experience..that gm smith is quite the gem

First of all, I would just like to say that clearly the San Diego Head Coach job is definitely more appealing considering he would've inherited a 14-2 (the best in the NFL). However, what's to say that if Marty was fired lets say a week after the loss to New England... Cam would have had some hefty competition in Wade Phillips whom is with Dallas now. Do I think Cam and Wade would rather take the San Diego HC job rather than Miami or Dallas? Yes, I do honestly. Do I think they regret it? Maybe a bit, mostly no. In the end they are proud and satisfied with the jobs they took. I'm still in shock about Marty's firing though... A 14-2 team losing their Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator all during one offseason. If all three have stayed (or at least Marty and either Cam or Wade), this team would be and is the favorite to win the Super Bowl next year. Amazing how this all resulted. We've got Cameron, Dallas has Phillips, and there's a head coaching vacancy in San Diego as we speak... that's all we know.

I wouldnt worry about it i think he is glad hes in miami. Also who knows if he got along with a.j. smith also he might of not got along with him either like marty and might not want to be the coach if aj is the gm. Its a thought dont know if true but could be.

No way is he regretting this job, he said he grew up a Dolphin fan and wants to be here. He is the Head Coach and will be calling the plays, he is at home here. No worries on him leaving.:dolphins:

I think Cameron is very happy here. In my opinion, the reason Marty left was because of their inability to hold onto their coordinators. If Cameron had stayed, Marty may not have been axed.

he did say like someone said up there that this was his dream job so he made his right move

Wow, what a thread. I never saw this chain reaction coming all because of Marty & the Suck D Chargers. I can't image what thoughts must be going through Cam & Wade's head. How can anyone not want to inherit a 14-2 team? I hope Cam proves he's good to his word & turns us around in a 180 degrees & takes us to the playoffs this coming season.
"London, here I cometh"

I think Cam has no regrets....he may have gotten fired with Marty had he stayed around.
