I know that grabbing a quarterback is going to be saban's goal in the offseason.. but if we can get one without drafting.... Do you guys feel that CB is our number one concern ? I recall up to week 6 we were having a breakdown about our secondary...... mentioning every single available CB and how we should bring them in.

Do you think Saban goes CB if we already found our QB in the first round of the draft?

IMO.. we go Corner 100%..... unless will poole shows some heavy talent in practice when he gets back..

IF so.. anybody know any top tear CB's available around 15 spot.......

I'm not sure that it is the #1 concern with this team but it is definately a Top 5 concern. The secondary in general needs a major upgrade in the offseason.

:hmmm:

Madison isn't going to be around much longer.... and who knows if pool's injury will be nagging........ i think if Saban were smart.. he would Go safety or Corner first round..

We still have W. Poole, and S. Mitchell on the shelf in waiting, plus Daniels and Madision, and we can see which of the 2 extra guys we picked up during the season may stick E. Jackson or K. Thomas and draft late in the draft for grooming. Did Howard play well enough at the end to be retained? Y. Bell stock has surely risen. Tillman don't know..Lance, is as Madison, getting up there, So we defintely need another S to go with Bell.

I think Bell's stock has risen too, but everyone else's stock except for the rookie dropped dramatically...

(In the 2ndary only that is)....

Big Sir i wouldnt say a #2 WR is a top 5 concern let alone number 2.

but i think it comes down to the best player available at our draft slot

DKenned,

I LOVE the Fins and my fellow Finfans...BUT there are a lot of BONEHEADS that
think the FINS should stay-away from drafting a QB in the 1st round because of a potential for a bust. EVERY PICK, no matter what position is a potential BUST. It depends on who's picking...Wanny and Spielman or someone like Saban. I'll trust him no matter who he selects...no matter the history of #1 QB busts.

I think QB and LT are the biggest needs. I prefer to draft the LT and find QB in free agency

corner or safety.... if you can find one of those ballhawking type safeties... GET HIM! look at recent SB Teams....Rodney Harrison, Dawkins, Lynch, Rod Woodson, Minter... and even back in the day- Ronnie Lott, Darren Woodson, LeRoy Butler....

some of you dudes were talking about impact players... guys who make and get turnovers... well one of these types of safeties is where it's at.. a good corner will shut down a side, but usually won't get too many ints...

in conclusion, these safeties are rare commodities, but with corner, it is much easier to find a mid-rd pick and mold him to what will be a pretty good starter. ( Travis Daniels )

I hope we draft Michael Huff CB Texas. Daniels can play FS.
