i dont think this team can win a superbowl period right now. What makes you so sure penny cant and henne can? neither has been close but penny has been to the playoffs many more times.

what about henne's "strong" arm equates to wins? i havnt really seen it yet. except one or 2 plays to Ginn who is gone now.

i'm not sure henne can...there's an unknown there...but i do know he can threaten the entire field...what i do know for sure and i mean with absolute certainty is i can't win one with chad pennington...not unless you have a roster full of pro bowlers and an 85 bears like defense...

why are some of you people getting on henne in the preseason, they dont prepare for the preseason thats the reason for the bad play. if this happens in the reg season then you panic. stop talking about pennington, hes a really good BACKUP, he wont take us anywhere. im done talkin about this cause some people are football illiterate(dont know a damn thing about the game).

You commit to the young QB or you don't, not riding anyone's dick. Don't ask for a 12 gm starter to assert himself and at the same time profess how good it is to have Penny on the bench. You sink or swim with the young qb, you don't half *** it.

As for Snooki and the rest of that train wreck of a show, it is what it is. Now fist pump and like it!

no one is blindly supporting pennington to start. but all of you are blindly supporting Henne and ignoring his evident short comings.

Can you explain what Henne's short comings are cause I can guarantee his short comings can be resolved with experience and coaching. Whereas Pennington's short comings (weak arm which leads to dink and dunk passing offense) can't be corrected.

Sparano said the addition of Marshall helps us a lot because we didn't have a player who could get chunk yards. It meant we had to be perfect on every drive because they were 12 to 15 play drives. Putting Pennington in there will negate the addition of Marshall and we will have to be perfect on every drive cause they will be 12 to 15 play drives to get in the end zone.

Seen this coming once they resigned Penny. You can't expect a 12 gm starter to take a team by the horns when you got a backup intentional or unintentionally still leading from the sidelines.

Balt and Atl rode out a rookie season and sophomore slumps with their respective young qbs, all the while not bringing in a 10 yr vet to mentor,or what ever bs reason some like to use for the situation in MIA. "I lead and win games". Penny said shortly after resigning.

If its Henne's team you commit, you don't half *** it.

I love Penny, but I agree with you on this. If the FO really wanted to give this team to Henne, they should have NEVER resigned Pennington. There are still alot of guys on this team that were here in '08, and Pennington was the physical and emotional leader of that team. It can't be easy to separate yourself from someone like that and go with another guy while the first guy is still in the locker room and on the sidelines leading the team.

We are talking about a regime that didnt want to play Tony Romo over a has been vet. Ive never been a fan of they way these guys "develop" qb's, because they dont. They constantly look for game managers, or washed up veterans that will only take you so far. You invested a 2nd rounder in Henne, and its time to take the reigns off and see if he's a player or not. I agree that re-signing Pennington was a mistake. Examples were already listed of teams that handed the reigns over to their young qb and took their lumps. Every qb has to go through this if the team believes the kid will come out better for it on the other end. I appreciate the work this regime has done to rebuiuld this franchise, although it was so devoid of talent when they took over that it's not all that impressive to be honest. Parcells is starting to get on my nerves in a few areas at this point.........

one thing that really bothers me is the play calling is passing situations. I want to say it was like first down maybe second down on our first drive. Hartline and Marshall were the receivers set out wide and ran half *** routes, likely because they weren't going to be targeted. The routes were just go routes from like the 10 yard line, nothing to come from it there. I'm thinking as the announcers say everyone is covered downfield and watching the replay, those were terrible routes. (This play Henne dumps off to Ronnie for no gain or a drop). Then Nat Moore said or those were just bad routes. A waste of a play. Sometimes I think Henne is handicapped by the play calling. He has proven he can throw 50+ times with good completion percentage and usually only 1 bad decision at most. Let the man play ball.

No, he is not on a short leash. If the team yanks Henne at any point to go with Pennington, the coaching staff likely will have signed their pink slip. Giving up on Henne will destroy what this team has been trying to build the past three years. You finally get a big time wide receiver and you insert Pennington? Doesn't make sense.

This is his 2nd year as a starter and just his 3rd in the league... Brees sucked badly his first three years, many other quaterbacks have struggled in their first 2-3 years... Henne HAS to start the whole season this year...
