Is Chad Henne on a Short Leash?

He Ought to be on a short leash.. he's the worst QB in the league. Maybe Leinart is worse. Nahh.. Henne.

Guess you never actually watched Edwards play, eh?

Scurry on back to Toronto .. or your cesspool of a slum, Buffalo - I know they're missing an idiot but the irony is that they've got so many they won't realize it for awhile.

I swear, the Dolphins beat writers are some of the worst in the business. A bunch of reactionary charlatans.

Amazing how much ruckus some preseason games make.

A struggling Henne? Dude, it's preseason. It's hard to get in a rythm when you only play a part of the game, have no game plan and the running game wasn't even a focus of the preseason. If he has 3 or 4 bad games in a row during the season then we can say he's struggling. Are they saying Peyton Manning is struggling in Indy? He hasn't looked very sharp to me.

People also forget the vanilla game plans going in. So not always will the flow be smooth and aimed to take advantage of match ups, etc. I look for completed pass versus reads, for example. The OL blocking for the non existent running game concerns me more than Henne not lighting up the score board. I don't think Marino won many pre-season games.

If Henne does what he was brought here for. And throws touch downs. Plays well. Wins games. All this nonsense will stop. Henne can stop all this. Lets see what he looks like this year. Doesnt matter if Penny is here or not. If Henne performs this madness will stop. If Henne is gonna be good, hell be good whether Penny is here or not. If hes gonna suck, itll be that way, Penny or not.

Yeah, I watched Edwards play, and he generally stunk it up, which is why he was replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick last season. However, he came out this season, and clearly won the starting QB job by playing well in the preseason games. Fitzpatrick is still on the team. The Bills added Brohm last season, and he's still on the team, too, but there's no QB controversy in B-LO now because Edwards has performed well this preseason. If he continues performing well, there won't be one. OTOH, if he stumbles badly early in the regular season, the clamor for Fitz or Brohm will start. It has nothing to do with one being a young guy and one being a wiley old vet and another one being a youngish vet. It has to do with how the starter performs.

The only way to prevent or end a QB controversy is for the starter to play well. That there's already talk about Pennington as the starter says that is there some dissatisfaction with Henne's play in preseason.

Really the offense as a whole starting with the line. hard to make good reads while guys are smacking you in the mouth. It's no different for us than it is for you in Buffalo. If Henne doesn't have it together by week 4, the hooks will be coming out.

Snap out of it folks.. This is what myself and Fish-Head were just talking about less than 2 days ago...

It's not Henne you have to worry about not being able to handle Pennington looking over his shoulder.. The question is whether or not the people making the decisions can handle it.. And hold off on hitting the 'easy' button when the young quarterback is struggling in favor of a few token wins...

You're going to pay the price one way or the other....

They need to trade Pennington before the deadline... Otherwise, just go ahead and start Pennington, get your 9-10 wins and 1st round playoff beatdown out of the way... and hope a quarterback falls to you in the latter part of the 1st round next year.

This isn't a video game where the "90" QB rating for your backup quarterback looks good... this is real life.. and when your 'backup' QB is better than your starter in REAL football and all the players know it, you've got problems...

I said it a while back.... things aren't NEARLY as rosy as everyone thinks they are....

Dr Slimm had the cure again. No one seemed to want vaccinated though.

one thing that really bothers me is the play calling is passing situations. I want to say it was like first down maybe second down on our first drive. Hartline and Marshall were the receivers set out wide and ran half *** routes, likely because they weren't going to be targeted. The routes were just go routes from like the 10 yard line, nothing to come from it there. I'm thinking as the announcers say everyone is covered downfield and watching the replay, those were terrible routes. (This play Henne dumps off to Ronnie for no gain or a drop). Then Nat Moore said or those were just bad routes. A waste of a play. Sometimes I think Henne is handicapped by the play calling. He has proven he can throw 50+ times with good completion percentage and usually only 1 bad decision at most. Let the man play ball.

Never said Henne was Marino, but let the man play. Reports in camp are that the offense has been opened up, and it should be... this is the NFL. DAN HENNING

Because everyone wants to credit Sparano for the 2008 season... when in reality it was Pennington that won him all those games (along with a weak schedule)... and HE knows it... that's why he's up Penny's ***...

NOW you're going to find out EXACTLY how good of a coach he REALLY is.. in more ways than one..

Oh we found out. At least some of us did. Unfortunately. A few of us actually have a learning curve.

that clown the situation came to a club and all the vip sections were filled, so he came up to a table that my friends were at and asked them to give it up to him.they turned him down and said but u have to give it up cause im the situation and before he can get his last word out he was greeted with a open hand ***** slap to the right cheek and did absoulty nothing about it.he waited for the bouncer to grab the kid and as the bouncer was throwing him out he started to talk trash cause he felt safe with the bouncer holding the kids back. the moral of the story is that kid is as soft as terry cloth, its all a act.
