How come even with a QB change Chambers still didn't put up big numbers. Even though Booker drops a few balls or is always on the ground. He seems to be open alot more times than Chambers. Where is he during a the game, except for the end of route every game. I would like to here some of your opinions. Thanks !!!!

Now that Chambers is respected by opponents he has been shutdown.

No, Chambers is the real deal. I thought we were done with this questin after he went to the pro bowl and gained a bunch of yards and was our MVP basically with Gus Frerrote at the helm. Wehen your Oline is playing poorly, your qb throwing bad passes, and your opponents are double covering you, its hard to be a stand out player. Chambers will bounce back like last year as soon as we get things in order

If Saban used the right package out there Chambers wouldnt be getting double teamed constantly, which has led to his numbers being down. Yes, he is overrated despite that.

The Jekyll and Hyde of #1 receivers in the NFL

He can be great and yet he can just disappear

His greatness sadly only seams to appear in either meaningless situations, or situations wasted by the Coaching.

That's a good one !

The problem has to be your QB or the playcalling. If Chambers is being double covered then why is the ball not going to your stud TE McMicheal? There arent too many LB's in the league that can cover him, so he should be open all day if a SS/FS is over the top helping out on Chambers. Its either your QB or the playcalling. IMHO this smells of Mularkey.

overrated is on a person by person basis.

I dont think hes overrated. i think he can be a 1000 yard reciever and can make some great catches, but i dont think hes a top 10 WR.

Some fin fans may think hes a dominant top 5 wr, IMO those people overrate chambers.

Thanks

Sad but true...and there are 40...40 other receivers with more yards than
Chris this year so far...thats not #1 production

I'm sure a few of the 40 receivers in front of Chris also have Oline problems
or QB problems as well as getting double teams.

He just seems to be soft and will only step it up if someone(SABAN)
GETS IN HIS FACE!!:tantrum:

I wish I had the solution...Hell,I wish SABAN had the solution

I'm sorry, but one year does not make me not wonder about this question.. give me a break!!

Its sad to say but we really should be looking for a new #1 this offseason and look to get rid of Chris. I loved this guy and really wanted him to blossom but I think his greatness is more often the rare fluke then him being shut down by even mediocre DBs.

There isn't enough great Chris to outweigh the bad Chris at this point.

I hope he proves me wrong but we should see what we can get for him this offseason and look for a new #1.

if you have Harrison fron the pats doubling you, its tough to catch alot of balls in a game...

And the other games?
