Is daniel thomas better than Mark ingram?

Look at McFadden in his first couple years, he looked like a bust, and look at him now carrying the Raiders. In other words, its too early to tell. But DTrain looks like (one of our few) good picks over the years. I love power backs. And he already runs hard, not much bull**** dancing in the backfield from this guy.

I guess I just don't see pouncey dominating at the LOS like some posters do...

You need to go back and rewatch some of the games, especially the Houston game. Pouncey was dominating that game.

It's really early, 3 games doesn't really tell you much, but the thread acknowledges as much and based of 3 games I think we made the right decision to go Pouncey and DT. Thomas looks like a stud and as long as he is just as good as Ingram than it will be a great pick because we were able to draft Pouncey in the first .

Those that are unwilling to say that DT will be better or is better than Ingram, will be the first to say Reggie couldn't hold Sproles' jock

lol, thats not what this topic is about but thanks for reminding us and stinking up my thread.[/QUOTT
People are dumb..don't sweat it.. It's clearly not Irelands fault, Sparano can't coach a lick. He's lost. As long as Ireland is GM, were good. This was technically his first draft without Parcells. He hit big..We'll be fine. Gates needs to see more passes, get him comfortable

Loving what I see out of him so far. Poncey has impressed too. Gotta focus on what bright spots we can. Henne is playing well enough as well, that thank goodness we did not make trades for QBs.
Maybe we didn't draft Mallett cause Ireland saw the writing on the wall that we'd have a shot in the Luck sweepstakes. lol

I do agree I would rather have Ingram and Mallet but Thomas has been very good the past two games.

well I think the arguements are totally differant . Sproles and Bush have quite a few seasons of NFL to judge while ingram and thomas have three games. I like reggie better than Sproles but wont argue that Bush has been better.

we will never find out they both are on 2 different type of offenses the saints are a pass happy offense, and we are the fins

I think the question should be is pouncey better than ingram. Afterall, that is the scenario that would have them both costing the 15th pick. As it stands we we gave up more to get DT, than we would have given up to get mark. So does multiple picks for thomas trump one pick for ingram? Time will tell

I'd still rather have Ingram and Mallett plus 3 extra players than DT and Pouncy at this point.

It wouldn't have been 3 extra players had we stood pat and drafted Mallet, it would have been 2. We traded our 3rd (which would have been Mallet), 5th and 7th round picks to the Redskins for their 2nd - which we used for DT. As a frame of reference, the Skins picked Dejon Gomes (S - Nebraska) and Maurice Hurt (G - Florida) with the 5th/7th round picks. Neither have contributed this year and Hurt is on the Skins practice squad, where it's not surprising for a 7th rounder to be during his rookie year.

Ok I don't even remember what the thread is about any more......that Avatar is just wrong on so many levels. The least of which is not the fact that I can't stop looking at it!!!!

Trade down for Ingram and a second or early third and take Mallet with one of those picks then we still have our third, fifth, and, seventh.
