Since it doesn't seem like we are looking at any TE's, or at least I haven't heard alot of talk about it, I suppose Martin is the guy.

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins TE David Martin will be the team's starting tight end.

i would be shell shocked if we were to draft a te this year and i am not so sure that cam will use the te as much as the fullback. i heard that the small aa te's are better then the 1a schools. ben patrick would be a guy i would look at.
i wonder how rader and the other te i forgot his name now darn it.:ninja:

You people don't realize that Martin is a good starting TE. Cam has said all along that he wants play makers on his team. And why do you think that the TE will be used less than the FB? Look at what Cam did with Gates last year.

I agree - Martin has great hands and can easily catch 50+ balls for us.

He is faster than Rader and Justin "banana" Peele...

I have no qualms about Martin starting - production will be fine.

He is a good starting TE based on what info? The 21 games he has started in his career for a whopping 87 receptions. The guy has been in the league seven years and done squat, will he be good for us maybe but he has not proven to be a good starting TE. We don't realize it because he has not been a good TE yet. If people want to believe he will magically become the next gates because Cam is here fine but there is no sure thing at TE this year for sure.

Some players just need the right team and offense to develop into the player they can be. Maybe Mueller and Cameron saw enough of Martin to think he could be better than he has shown so far, not that he has been bad.

How can he easily catch 50 balls anywhere since his career hig is 27.

Possible but some people on this board always assume because a player is with us he will flourish. I was just saying in seven years he has time to show what he can do and to this point he has been nothing special and blockingwise is definately not a factor.

What the heck is a " stating TE". I know what a spell check is lol! Sorry this offseason is killing me, it's so boring around here. Daunte this Daunte that. Thank GOD for hockey and thank GOD for the only good thing to come out of Buffalo.....The Sabres!
