Is Feeley gonna make the team?

Feeley is likely done anyway....

Because he will be playing with the second team and likely will not get an opportunity to play with the first team. Saban has mentioned the importance of getting chemistry for the starting quarterback, so you know what that means.

IMO..Feeley will still be our second team QB. Maybe its the yoyo in me...but Im still pulling for AJ to be the starter at some point. You all can say what you want..my minds not changing. We will need them both this year. Hopefully this only fires him up more to review his game tape to make improvements so when he gets in during the reg season..he can run with it.

Unless Feeley plays better, we've got no need for him or his salary.....

Rosenfels could do no worse than Feeley at this stage. Feeley is basically what he is.....a 3rd string QB.

I actually had high hopes for Feeley this off-season. The OL protection looks better, the running game looks better, but Feeley still looks the same. I see no improvement from him what so ever. Maybe we've already seen all we're going to get from Feeley, and that's just not good enough.....

I'd be just as happy with Rosenfels at #2 and Berlin at #3. At least those two are showing flashes of solid QBing. Berlin is a risk at #3, but I'd rather keep him{with the potential he's shown}, than waste that roster spot on Feeley who has shown no improvement...

PHINZ RULE!!!

I would believe this more if he showed any tendency to be fired up. I don't see that fire or drive in him. I think if it was there we would have seen it. It's not like he didn't know he was falling behind.

whether you want to beleive it or not Feeley is in trouble of being cut, if he doesn't play well this week then I say that he just lost his back-up job and possibly the 3rd string job (depending on how Rosenfels and Berlin play)

A.j. Who ?

Look at all the Feeley Supporters jumpin off the wagon...not like i told ya so!!...............Cut Him!........hell i think FIEDLER is having a better camp and is still better then A.J. :rofl3:

Hello.

Basically, Nick Saban has been given a 'tabula rasa' in molding the Dolphins team for 2005 and onwards. He does not have to be held accountable for the previous regime's decisions, such as trading a 2nd rounder for a 3rd string QB. He should be making decisions that are the best for the team right now, in consultation with other coaches, scouts, capologists, etc.

So, if A.J. Feeley isn't living up to his expectations as a 1st or 2nd string QB, he will more than likely be cut altogether. His salary and heightened expectations really cannot relegate him to a 3rd string QB status.

That said, my gut feeling as a fan is that A.J. Feeley will remain on the team as either a 1st or 2nd string QB. He still has the talent and can still contribute to the team as a whole, recent bad on-field decisions notwithstanding. In fact, he got slightly better as the season progressed to an end last year, with the Dolphins winning some games.

However, the real tension lies in the 3rd string QB spot! Sage may well have to fend off Brock for the final QB roster spot. I'll admit to being surprised by Brock's QB'ing in the pre-season so far and can only truly hope that if he does not land a roster spot with the Dolphins, his 'audition' will land him a spot with other 31 NFL teams.

Enjoy.

I sometimes can't believe this board. His 27.7 rating was ONE PRESEASON QUARTER playing with a bunch of guys who won't make the team and a bunch of guys who won't play a down this season if they do.

If you want to make your decision based on that, go right ahead, but I really think there's more to it than that.

Really there Einstein, do you even look at stats or watch any games?

Feeley's QB rating stats from last year when he was playing first stringers - 61.7 - 11 TDs and 15 Int.
Feeley so far this pre-season - 42.7 and a 27.7 from last Saturday.

Does this really seem like a guy making progress and trying to claim the #1 QB position or a guy who the Dolphins grossly overpaid for and probably won't make the team? He was brutal last year and he's starting off this year even worse.
