Silver posted on VIP that Mark Dominick, former TB GM may be hired as well, as per a link that I forgot to copy. No matter, that's just what we need. :)

After this clusterf*ck of a process, Gaine should be walking out the doors with two middle fingers raised and a steaming pile of sh*t on Ross' desk.

If Dominik was hired it would be a plus. It would dilute the **** storm of Ross and Aponte.

If he is that poorly thought of then he should leave asap to protect his own career path..

He will probably stay on until after the draft, but yeah he's gone. He has no future with this team and I'm guessing will have job opportunities elsewhere.

I'm a little confused here. Gaine was in charge of the Senior Bowl guys we sent, and our draft and FA analysis from Ireland. At this late date, does everything change? Do the new guys bring in their own guys now, and get rid of what we have?

Agreed. Might give a sliver of hope.

They should allow Gaine to leave ASAP.

With the length of the GM search and number of possibilities I don't think Ross seriously looked at Gaines for GM. IMO he wanted an outside guy for fresh look. Gaines provides continuity, at least for now. After the draft we might see some changes in the scouting department. I'm sure Hickey has his own way to rate talent and has other people that look at it his way.

I said it in another post, Ganie is sure to go. I just hope he stays through the draft and gives his best effort. I would hate for him to leave now and take the information he has with him and worst yet give to a competitor.

At this point, where else would he go? Unless he is so disgruntled he cant take it anymore, I don't see him walking away.

Gaine may leave and turn out to be a great GM somewhere, I don't know. But he worked with a loser GM and since this is a losing organization he is collateral damage. Sorry.
