Is it harder for fans Tank for Tua or where all in and we suck

Maybe Miami puts a complete game together?

Josh Allen has almost always played well against the Dolphins, but the Bills are due for a down game.

On paper, hard to see Miami in this one but you never know. The Dolphins need it more, otherwise the season is lost.
It’s not how I want to win and I know you dont either
Guess we’ll just see how it plays out

Tank for Cam Ward? Is that what you're saying OP?

At least we knew what we were getting into in 2019 and it was supposed to have a purpose, unfortunately Grier botched it.

When we play good teams though we still can't compete with them. That will probably be proven again tomorrow.
IMO, Grier did okay gutting the roster and accumulating picks and space under the cap, but he did a poor job of rebuilding. He drafted Tua, but never gave him a good o-line. Flores didn't care about the offense and didn't have enough talent. McDaniel has more talent on offense, but he has no experience, they still don't have a good o-line, and now they have less talent on defense.

And, even though I'm not a Tua fan (I'd prefer a bigger, stronger, more athletic QB), no one can honestly evaluate him because he's never had a strong o-line, and now doesn't even have a competent playcaller. Because of this he should have never been given a huge contract, and this just proves that Grier and McDaniel are not the answer. Ross needs to clean house.

My recollection of the "tank for Tua" season was that the Dolphins were the only team intere4sted in using a Top 20 pick to draft him. Similar to the recent contract extensions, Miami seems to consistently bid against themselves to over draft and, or over pay for players.
Damn teams are in contact with you and show you their draft board? How are you privy to this information?

Expectations were high this year so this season is more disappointing. When we are tanking/rebuilding then it's expected to be bad and to lose many games.

I said this past off season that this season was the highest expectations I've had as Dolphins fan in my life (35 years old). And no doubt this has become the most disappointing season ever. At least in my lifetime.

Prove that no other team would not have taken Tua in the top 20. You make up more sh*t than any other poster on this site.
It was the 2020 draft and with the #1 overall pick the Bengals selected Joe Burrow.
Had Miami with the #5 selected Justin Herbert, the Chargers planned to draft Jordan Love with the #6 pick. We'll never know if at the #26 pick the Packers would have drafted Tua or Jalen Hurts.
Remember prior to the draft Tua's stock had declined significantly due to is propensity to suffer injuries at Alabama and also his lack of mobility. If Miami did not take him with their first round pick there is certainly a chance he could have dropped to the 3rd or 4th round.

How do yo know who the Chargers would have drafted?

3rd or 4th round😂 You are so full of sh*t. Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

This is probably the worst I've ever felt in a season. I think its because we faked hard last year and got my hopes up. Then we committed hard, so there really isn't much of a silver lining due to massive contracts. Also we've seen so much **** with Ross and grier that it's hard to believe that they won't **** up any resources we gain. Oh it doesn't help that we're clearly a toxic organization that creates a system where players underperform and turn soft.

Also we won't need to tank, buffalo probably gonna injure half our guys. Which probably means mccoach and grier can whine about how they can't control injuries (um you can if toy don't sign injury prone dudes and do way less conditioning than the rest of the league).

Hey if Tua goes down we're looking at a top pick. If we do a total purge it might work out. Too bad it's not an amazing qb year. I guess the dream is draft loads of trench dudes, trade down if we can. Then pick up a qb in two years.

I'm so tired of debating this draft. Had Tua not had a hip injury, he was the absolute, not even debatable, consensus #1. Period.

There isn't even a debate. It's the absolute fact, it was Tua and then the rest. After the hip injury, they only debate was Tua's durability and nothing else. This narrative of arm strength, pocket awareness, scrambling ability, absolute nonsense. Every single talking head was blowing Tua's #1 draft stock prior to his hip injury.

Not true bud. The chargers went on record saying if we picked Herbert, they would've picked Tua. And that since we picked Tua, they picked Herbert.

There might be a few qbs and a few blue chip defensive players like Carter and mason
I would be very happy with sucking and drafting Abdul carter

Actually, Tua had an impressive Freshman year at Alabama including some garbage time appearances plus the memorable second half National Championship game appearance.
Tua's 2018 sophomore year was his best production, and that was the season when media talking heads were projecting him to be a #1 overall draft pick.
However 2019 was a down year for Tua including multiple injuries, a significant drop in his draft status position, and doubts about his style of play. Following that season some people in the media suggested he should return to Alabama for his senior year. But Tua opted to declare for the draft and as far as I know Miami was the only team interested in using a first round pick to draft him.
So for the fans thinking Tua was a hot draft prospect I believe you may be remembering on his freshman and sophomore years at Alabama, but perhaps forgetting about how the sentiment changed during the 2019 season, his junior year.
