Is it harder for fans Tank for Tua or where all in and we suck

Actually, Tua had an impressive Freshman year at Alabama including some garbage time appearances plus the memorable second half National Championship game appearance.
Tua's 2018 sophomore year was his best production, and that was the season when media talking heads were projecting him to be a #1 overall draft pick.
However 2019 was a down year for Tua including multiple injuries, a significant drop in his draft status position, and doubts about his style of play. Following that season some people in the media suggested he should return to Alabama for his senior year. But Tua opted to declare for the draft and as far as I know Miami was the only team interested in using a first round pick to draft him.
So for the fans thinking Tua was a hot draft prospect I believe you may be remembering on his freshman and sophomore years at Alabama, but perhaps forgetting about how the sentiment changed during the 2019 season, his junior year.
Again, your wrong. Did you not see the article I posted in my reply

This season has been rough, def have experienced rougher tho. Call it a defensive mechanism if you must, but losing your starting QB takes the sting out of it for me a tad.

Expectations were high this year so this season is more disappointing. When we are tanking/rebuilding then it's expected to be bad and to lose many games.

I said this past off season that this season was the highest expectations I've had as Dolphins fan in my life (35 years old). And no doubt this has become the most disappointing season ever. At least in my lifetime.
I hear that my man. Around the same age, def more hyped I've been in forever, so quite the fall.

But in 5 years when we win the Super Bowl no one will care about this season!

After back-to-back years of late season collapses why did you have high expectations for the 2024 season?

My recollection of the "tank for Tua" season was that the Dolphins were the only team intere4sted in using a Top 20 pick to draft him. Similar to the recent contract extensions, Miami seems to consistently bid against themselves to over draft and, or over pay for players.
Nah you’re way off. We decided to blow it up BECAUSE of Tua. He was considered the best qb prospect since Luck. He did suffer a major injury that year which robbed him of his running ability but allowed him to slip to 5. He was still a generational prospect.

We paid him because he’s been a top 3-5 qb the past two years and that is undeniable. That being said, when you’re out a month, it tends to ruin your teams season.

This year I had high hopes but it is what it is.But this years been hard to watch. We have some players that's not committed to win the tape don't lie.
This is season 100 times worse.

This IS the rebuild.

The house is built and it's a shithole.

During your freshman year as Aquapride1 you had some flashes of brilliance. Then a down sophomore season got you transferred to a noncommittal school.

Now in your senior year as Aquapride 2 you are trying to make a solid performance but your draft stock is sliding faster than Tua after a hip injury.

I don't mind trolls, trolls are people too. However, at least have some pride in your work. Do better.

Aqua, do some actual research. There were other teams interested in drafting Tua including the Chargers. Personally, I was pounding the table for Herbert, but Tua was definitely being considered by other teams.

Not in the 1st round. Not after the multiple injuries Tua suffered during this 3rd season at Alabama. That's why the "tank for Tua" talk during the Dolphins 2019 season was so confusing. People wondered why a team would tank for a player that could probably be had with a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick? It was bizarre, nonsensical.
Remember, Tua's high draft stock was immediately following his freshman year National Championship Game second half appearance against Clemson, and his sophomore year. But his Junior year (2019 season) was a steady decline leading to numerous questions and speculation that he might help his draft status if he returned to Alabama for his senior year.

Tua had an AMAZING marketing department.

1. Got him to re-take and trained him for the Wonderlic after scoring a 13!
2. Made the media forget his lack of tools.
3. Made the media forget his lack of physical size.
4. Gave him an extra inch in height.
5. Made the media ignore his multiple very serious injuries.

This should be a marketing class.

6) Nick hicks saying every year how great of shape Tua is in

We can agree to disagree if others were interested in taking Tua in the first round, top 20. And that’s ok. I want Tua to succeed, but I’m also drafting Allan from Penn. if he’s available. We need a QB to push Tua and if concussion issues continue, to take over.
