Is it just me or is PPS/JRS past its prime?

Kick the Marlins the hell out? Excuse me but the Fins are not the only sports team in Florida. The Marlins are also a Florida team and people need to realize this. At least they have won some championships so give them respect.

No way, kick em out. Baseball sucks. give them their own damn stadium.

If the Stadium could be moved atleast 45 min north along the coast the attendance would be much better in my opinion.

I seriously doubt that. Palm Beach residents that called themselves diehard Florida Panthers fans said the same exact thing. They got their wish, and now they never show up.

Besides all that, where the stadium is now, it always sells out, so attendence is not a problem.

Im seeing all these wonderful looking stadiums like Invesco, Lincoln, etc. today and think how bland PPS looks compared to them.. Do you think a new stadium will be built within the decade? Or at least renovate PPS a little?

Joe Robbie is still one of the best places to see a game according to others.

However, I would love to see one renovation once the Marlins get their stadium.

They need to move the seats closer to the field so the crowd can be a big factor thruout the whole game instead of just when teams are near the endzones.

But the owner will most likely never do it since he only owns the team for the money. He already looked into the renovations I'm talking about, and he said it did not make sense because it would cost too much and it would mean losing around 5,000 seats! I don't remember the exact figure he said but I think it was around 20 mil, which to me is petty cash for Wayne. His money i guess....

I bought a Panorama of the stadium and they had to special order it because I wanted the brass placard to read Joe Robbie Stadium.

I love attending games there unlike the Superdome or the Georgia Dome (when the Saints are in town) as far as tailgating goes. I'm not sure yall know how good you have it in that regard with all the on site parking.

At the Superdome we tailgated once & ended up feeding the homeless. It's a nice gesture but I am there to have fun, not eat & drink beer in the midst of hungry alcoholics. It was a buzz kill for sure & the same thing happened at the Georgia Dome. We shared our food & some of our beer & headed to our seats early.

I was there last in '98 but I loved it, it is a GREAT football Stadium. Last year I wnt to FedEx and that was opened a decade after PPS and it's noteven close, Pro Player is BY FAR better than that Stadium. FedEx was cramped and I sat in the upper deck and you are a mile away up there. You guys should be thankful you have a great Stadium that isn't brand new b/c if they built a new one it would be loaded w/ luxury boxes and they'd probably force PSL's down your throats.

If that was directed at me, I actually knew that. I haven't even been to Florida. Everything within a good 50+ mile radius of Miami is Miami in my mind.

Dude, everything between Key Largo and Jupiter (over 100 miles) is Miami. THey have different names for areas but it's all the same. It's termed a megalopolis.

I second that motion. Baseball is like watching paint dry. If they could have remote controlled bases and the occasional land mine it would be much more exciting.

If they could just get rid of the old Jumbo tron screen and give us the digital marquis' around the whole Stadium like Gilette has that would be a big improvement.

Having been to a few other stadiums around the league and having been in just about every area of PPS, it is, by far, the best stadium for football that I have ever been to. The site lines are excellent and there is practically no bad seat in the house (even the nosebleeds). As far as moving the seats closer, I would have to disagree with that. I've been to a couple of stadiums whose seats are VERY close to the field (Ralph Wilson being one) and sat in row three just behind the Fins at Buffalo...HORRIBLE!!! Was watching the whole game on the jumbo-trons 'cuz I couldn't see the field at all.

The Marlins...they just need to get their own stadium and it is being worked on. The site that is most being talked about is on the Orange Bowl property. As I understand it, they are thinking about building the baseball stadium adjacent to the football stadium which would also undergo major renovations. I, for one, hope the Marlins get their own place and get the heck outta PPS...Unfortunately, it would suck for me because since I live in Broward, there is no way in hell that I'm driving on a consistent basis down into the heart of Miami to see a ball game during the week...its murder trying to get into and out of that area...plus, the parking is non-existant in that area...you have to pay a gazillion bucks to park on someone's front lawn and hope that you don't get blocked in.

Just my ten cents...
