It seriously sounds like Buffalo is resting players for next week. Marone said that EJ’s knee swelled up Tuesday so he decided to sit him on Sunday, but he is 110% sure he will play next week. Stevie’s mother passed away and Marone said he is going to sit Stevie this week even if he wants to play to give him time to heal. It just seems really early in the week to shut down two of your best players. I guess it is just a coincidence, and very unfortunate in the case of Stevie, but it still seems odd that they are ruled out this soon in the week.

Now if only they will rule out Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller, Mario Williams and Kiko Alonso, we should be all set!

Sounds to me like a coach who realizes his season is over and is trying to look out for his star players who are hurt or grieving instead of sending them out there to play a meaningless football game.

Good, we can use a fresh Bills team next week to play over their heads. Lets get a new AFC East champ this year. :D

Might be playing it this way for draft and evaluation reasons.

I will take the wins any way I can get them (short of cheating/playing dirty). No shocker that EJ is gonna sit. Not worth risking further injury. The Stevie scratching, that's interesting to me. You figure they would leave it up to him and that's a decision that they would make closer to Sunday.

That was my 1st thought too, but then why be so adamant that he will play next week? Wouldn't you just shut your stars down for the year instead of guaranteeing they will play in the last game which truly means nothing for them. I hope we kill buffalo this week and some how they can sneak one by the pats next week. I'm just a little confused about how they are approaching our game. At the very least why not make us prepare for 2 qbs, one of which we have never played. Instead they gave us a full week heads up that all we have to do is watch the game film we already have. I'm grateful it appears to give us an advantage, just left wondering why

Buffalo has more than enough to win a game in the rain and wind.

I'm not convinced Johnson won't be suiting up, many times guys will play inspired in these situations
