Is it just me or was our D bad?

yes we made some big plays (mainly because the Jags kept throwing us the ball) but did anyone else think the D had a bad game?

Missed sacks and tackles behind the line, QB slipping away and serious coverage issues.... if it wasn't for Bortles mistakes I would have said this was the worst game our D has played all season.


Am I crazy?
 
It was bad outside of two awful plays by Bortles that our defense made good returns on.

We were dominated in the first half.
 
Was all around sloppy today. More sloppy on Offense then Defense. But the D got them the win today so I don't hold it against them.
 
Nah, not crazy. Playing bad teams is tough. You gameplan for one thing then they are all over the place after that. Sometimes so many are out of position or get beat that new holes open up for odd ass plays. 2 pick 6s, multiple sacks, etc isnt bad. Thats what they do when the play is actually were it is supposed to be
 
Our defense allowed 13 points.

Our defense scored 14 points.

That's a good day for the defense.

you make mistakes like that against any other team and teams are going to score points.
 
I thought we played down to them a little bit and were not as focused - with all the penalties. But with Jax being so desperate for a win, I'm sure matching their intensity was an issue early on also.

Terrible? Extreme wording for a unit that outscored both offenses in this game.
 
I will say this: Jamar Taylor is not a high-level CB.

First quarter was bad but the d tightened up as the game went on. Most of the Jags yards came early and then we locked them down early 2nd until the backups came in
