...Is that Stephen Ross (on the left) talking to Draymond Green on the court after the Warriors/Thunder game?

IMG_1007.JPG

I had to do a double take. I know the Super Bowl is in the Bay area, so that makes sense, but why the hell would he be talking to Draymond Green??? :idk:

Looks like he's court side and maybe thats his kid or something. Or maybe he's recruiting our seam threat red zone TE lol

Whatever he's doing, he has that clueless, stupid look on his face.

He might be talking to someone but nobody is talking to him.

Agreed. These people have no idea what a truly bad owner is. An owner who is in it for pure profit, doesn't open the check books, and threatens to move to other cities if they don't get publicly funded new stadiums. Ross has screwed up several decision trying to find a winning front office combination, but never has it been out of a lack of desire to simply win. He left Parcells alone. That failed. He gave Joe time (too much) ala Ron Rivera. That failed. He's open his checkbook to multiple big FA signings. Mixed to failed results. And he's pursued nothing but top level coaching talents. Sadly to failed results aside from possibly Gase. Dude tries. Just has had to fail to learn all along the way.

problem is, I'm not so sure he's learned anything that makes him a better football decision maker. Also, I don't think he's "hated" in the true sense of the word. I think most anti - Ross people see him as a bumbling idiot as it relates to putting a winning program together. That's different than utter hatred. Just my 2 cents. For the record, I don't hate the guy - I just think he's bozo the clown with a ton of money.

Agreed, many of us dislike which is different than hate. Yes he opens wallet, to the wrong people. He's made clueless decision after clueless decision. He doesn't seem to learn from past mistakes.

Let's gather some facts first:
a) the Miami Dolphins and the Stadium are two independent companies. Investments made into the Stadium will be easily recouped by events incl a higher lease the Dolphins may have to pay. The renovations done were not because he loves South Florida and Dolfans so much but because he wanted a Superbowl down here and increase the revenue. If it were for us or the Dolphins he would have done these renovations much much earlier. The investment in the renovations are a calculated business risk and if there would be any chance he would not recoupe the investment he surely would have not done them.
He tried to get government money like any owner. I cannot believe that there is one sane person on this planet who actually support giving government money to billionaire owners to expand their business.

b) Ross does not write the checks for players. The Miami Dolphins do. As an owner you are only concerned at the bottomline at the end of the year. The salary cap is structured in a way that it will not be the cause of an organisation NOT making any money (every NFL franchise ends up in the black numbers at the end of the year). The Dolphins also have to spend a certain percentage of the salary cap. These two rules (max spending and minimum spending) guarantee NFL franchises of either not overspending nor underspending (cheap owners). So even if he doesn't want to spend the money he has too.

And next time when you hear about us signing big time FA players remember that that money spend has to be shortened somewhere else.

So before you rag on the fans who are not in love with Ross please get the facts straight. And stop appointing him into the Jesus category of NFL owners. He does not belong there.

I don't think anyone here "hates" Ross. We're upset because he's proven to be a bumbling goof who has no clue about the NFL and doesn't learn from past mistakes.

Whatever he's doing, he has that clueless, stupid look on his face.

I was watching that game last night. Contrary to your foolish post, he wasn't walking around clueless. You're aware that when someone takes a photo of a human being when they aren't in direct knowledge of being photographed that sometimes you won't look as if you're posing for the picture right?

He might be talking to someone but nobody is talking to him.

Also not the case. Green was having a quick conversation with him. Continue assuming things though.
