Now Im only 20 so I have only really been watching the Dolphins since around 2000-2001. I remember seeing Marino play when i was in elementary school but there is a difference between just seeing the game and actually watching the game.
That being said. Ever since i have been watching we have been a defensive team for the most part. These past seasons i feel like our defense is trying to keep up with our offense a lot more. Its a good thing this year it seems like our d is having an off year instead of being a flat out bad defense. We have a lot of young core players and really believe we are on the verge of being elite.
Both our offense and defense have shown flashes of being elite over the past 2 years but we always seem to struggle on is consistency. That is what separates the perennial playoff and superbowl teams from the teams that just bounce around the early rounds of the playoffs ever other year or so. We are maybe just one, and definitely two offseasons away from being a perennial playoff team.
