The Pats acquired blocking TE Michael Mathews. They traded their pass catching TE because their is fear for Brady's Safety. I guess they watched the preseason games and noticed JT is back, and with friends.

"Given the pressure Tom Brady is sure to see from opposing pass rushes this season, the Pats may be looking to shore up the tight end area with bodyguards."

JT and JP both offered their services for that job. They agreed to help Brady up after a sack, and slap the one sacking him on the backside.

For whatever reason, they were denied. LOL

Yes it's Miami thats making the Patriots shape their roster the way it is :rolleyes2:

This website really needs to improve the quality of their topic/posts. Seriously, I'm a Dolphins' fan, but where the hell did you come up with that conclusion? >_> Patriots aren't just worried about the Dolphins, Jets have players that can get at the quarterback too. Many other teams have it as well. Some of these threads are very unreadable. People need to use the rating system more often.

You think Dave Thomas was a pass catching TE? Please he was mostly good at catching penalties.
The Patriots have Baker and Watson to catch passes they now have a solid blocking TE to aid the running game.

:alert: Pat boys, Pat boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when the Fins come for you.

Check it out, I can spell S-W-E-E-P. :fh:

Wow what great intellect you show here. If that is all you have stick to the smack forum.
People are trying to discuss football here.

the Pats have been obtaining TE's for years now. Do they ever get it right? I mean, what the hell is the diff if they get 14 second rounders and two first rounders for 2011 when they cannot even get a friggin TE. I mean, the latest is Baker so they have resorted to taking the other teams TE cus they cannot draft one of any significance.

And if someone says Watson all I can say is Y. Bell was lights out on him! Or was it our second stringer in Jason Allen? anyways, ineffective the rest of the game after that hit.

i think he's gonna be scared off crowder, he's looking a lot better on the blitzes
