I would be willing to part with anyone except these players: T-Hill, Waddle, Tua, and X. Anyone else, as long as the value is pretty close and can bolster this line. No I dont want to see a stupid trade. I would rather lose another season and fix it next offseason instead.

We’re not good enough to be giving up future assets for one-year stop gaps, and nobody is trading quality OL on reasonable multi-year contracts.

But if one were available, I’d gladly trade away Gesicki and change for a quality OL.
I actually think we are good enough. If our o-line was just average or better and Tua never got hurt, we are probably undefeated right now.

The defense isn’t good. We could just as easily be 1-5 as undefeated. Which is the typically how it goes for .500 teams. I’d need to see way more out of the defense and running game before I’d believe we are one or two pieces away.

takes two to tango, who is willing to give up a good O lineman? ive rarely seen O linemen involved in trades, especially during the season.

Well, it might be worth giving NO a call and inquiring about their Centers.

Team that wants to rebuild
Team looking for cap space.
Team having adequate replacement, to name a few reasons.
Team willing to trade
Team wanting more Draft picks.

With us, doesn't take a alladins lamp to upgrade some of our "not ready for prime time players..
Think Tayler Moton is an option. Plays RT and if Arms still hurt can play LT.( Panthers going no where )
Trade possibly a Gisecki or Gaskin, lower draft pick for a Center and put Connor back at LG. IMO. Hey, we have a GM get er done ! Said 3+ months ago OL could be our achilles heal.

Arms, Connor, New C, Hunt, Moton.... Should improve the whole Offense immensely

Grier and Mcdavid must not dilly dally around any more, cause we don't have a #4 QB and Tua's running low on lives.....JMO

Don't think it was a problem of "finding" a quality OL man back then. More the aspect of not seeing a need to continue building after Arms. & Connor, as many in here were in the same boat. This lack of basic insight I believe spreads the responsibility around a bit. Mc D could of had more input with Grier if he so desired.
There were some good OL to get back then. Now tipically our usual process getting one who is also not really better than what we have , partially due to the good ones are all signed and delivered to other teams by now. We seem to do this every year..

Now see Needham injury putting OL on back burner
Oh Well getting used to it...

They went out and signed two of the best offensive linemen available in free agency. The problem is they had other areas they needed to upgrade like the RB and WR positions and because of the salary cap, they only had limited resources to spend to upgrade all these position.

Perhaps they should have used the $10 million dollars they are paying Gesicki to sign another offensive lineman but it is always easy to see what they should or could have done after the fact.

We could’ve done more. But we were obviously desperate to justify the selections of AJ and Eich.
