I would be on board with Marino as an authority/figurehead role that oversees the operation ala Elway, but who doesn't pick players. I think Ross desperately needs a guy in that role.
That being said, I don't think Marino would take this job. It is every bit as dysfunctional as the Wanny/Spielman regime he dipped his toe into and promptly ditched. I think he is smart enough not to get himself involved in a situation like that a second time around.
I only think he would except such a role of there was a clean slate
