Is it possible ?

And why would dan marino be qualified for the job?

I would be on board with Marino as an authority/figurehead role that oversees the operation ala Elway, but who doesn't pick players. I think Ross desperately needs a guy in that role.

That being said, I don't think Marino would take this job. It is every bit as dysfunctional as the Wanny/Spielman regime he dipped his toe into and promptly ditched. I think he is smart enough not to get himself involved in a situation like that a second time around.

I only think he would except such a role of there was a clean slate

No to Marino once and for all.

C'mon people, let's leave the GOAT alone. He's already carved his place in our franchise's history.

All great players do not make good front office guys. Ask any Knicks fan how they feel about how Isaiah Thomas ran the show.

Dont you remeber in 2004 when he tried it once as senior VP and lasted like 3 weeks before he realized he was in over his head and stepped down

When did marino work his way up like elway did? Must have missed this

Elawy dabbled in the AFL as an owner. I don't remember him working his way up to his current job. He asked Bowlan for an non GM/coaching job and was granted his current position

Marino has a sweet gig on TV and a place on the council for the 'fins. He doesn't need the stress and actual work that would go with a GM spot.
