Ok, this is the second week in a row McDougle has replaced Vernon at RT halfway through the game...

Why is that? Do the coaches feel both of there abilities are equal, therefor they want a fresh pair of legs at RT?

Is Vernon not holding up to is status as a starter?

There is no doubt that the line play is far batter this year than last, but what the deal with the RT position?

It appeared as if they were all rotating... I'm almost certain I saw Carey playing LT with McDougle at RT, and both Carey and McDougle at RT with McIntosh at LT.

i think they want stockar to be fresh and not rusty.. i heard saban wants him on the field as well because he is very talented just hasnt been doing what they had expected.. .and carey as well is playing great but so is mcintosh, what can you do when you have 3 tackles taht are playing pretty good.. i belivve in houck and saban

funny how all the "Experts" think our main problem is at the tackle position though...

I just can't remember the last time I've heard of something like this... besides pre-season of corse.

not sure what the big deal is really....d-line is rotated in and out just about every play...so why o-line be any different....i think its gr8 idea.....fresher is better.

Hopefully McIntosh will give us some insight to that in his week 3 post. :)

Schulters could be the next Brock Marion

Schulters proved to me that he can be a great free safety for five years like Brock Marion was for our defense.

Yeah it's not just RT by committee it is LT & RT by committee. Carey was definitely back in at LT after coming out at RT.

What can ya say we've held opponents to one sack during MEANINGFUL game play (I don't really count Ellis' sack late in the Jets game). So, I guess it's working? I dunno, I think Carey obviously struggled with the transition from RT to an on-fire Abraham at LT, but in this game no problems with Julius Peppers or Mike Rucker...

Isn't that great to be able to say they only have given up one sack in three games. I couldn't remember the last time that has happened and to think they held Peppers the whole game. I think he reached Gus twice. Can anyone else second that. How many times was Gus hurried yesterday? It would be hard for the Panthers though because of how many quick passes he threw to the flats. He is goog at that compared to last year when they tried that with A.J.

I remeber McDougle was called for a holding on Peppers that could have resulted in a sack had he not held... other than that I don't remember...

but I'm trying to watch so many different positions it's hard to catch it all on just one viewing.

We just held the Panthers without a sack all game... I don't care HOW they're doing it, it's working so far.

Prolly they are doing it to keep the D on their toes. And it has worked the last three games. We shut down price the first game, did well against abraham the second game, and did very well against the "best D line in the NFL". Though as was showed, peppers wasn't on the field the entire time. I wonder what is up with that.

I think this could actually be an advance in how offenses are run around the league. If the Dwight Freeneys of the world are going against a FRESH left tackle in the 4th quarter, their sack numbers will no doubt decrease. And these 310-pound guys at LT wear down pretty fast comparatively speaking.

*confused as to what this has to do with RT*
