hey guys, i dont no if there has been a thread about this yet or not, and if there has been then im sorry, but has it sunk in yet that this sunday is most likely unless a major miracle happens that we will be watching our fins play a real game for 8 plus months?

its just starting to hit me now alittle and im sure it will get worse as the week goes on and especially after sunday. this is the team that back in august we were discussing how excited we were for the season, evaluating our draft piks how they were playing in preseason, and i almost remember us discussing just like it was yesterday how pumped we were for the opener vs atlanta.

now it is the last day of 09, soon to be 2010, and our fins will be playing there last game until september 12th i believe it is next season.

im deffinetly going to stick around and talk during offseason and stuff, but im going to miss all these gameday threads, discussing our wins, even as bad as it is reading peoples thoughts after losses as it helped me get over them easier.

i rlly just cant believe though that instead of waking up on sundays and watching nfl sunday ticket every week and the dolphin game, its already over and it feels like yesterday was week 1. o boy does time fly by.

well just wanted to see if anyone else feels the same exact way, and hopefully we win this week, go out with a bang, and come back next year and kick some butt. thanks everyone for the great memories on here during the season, and even though we have the long offseason ahead to continue to discuss our fins, i can not wait to do the same thing back here next season.

I just hope that a team I hate doesn't win the Super Bowl. Too many teams that I hate have been winning championships in all sports lately.

Yeah.. I am NOT looking forward to the offseason at all. It's a drag from Feb to April, and then an even longer drag from April to August when we start preseason, because our team is together.

I must admit though, we all get pretty crazy when we get excited just to watch a team practice with weird music compilations and all

And of course all the stories come up of OTA standouts (Patrick Turner, Chris Williams, that one receiver that was fast, forgot his name..)

If things most likely don't roll the way we want, this season we still have an active rooting interest against the Jest and Cheatriots (although hopefully that doesn't extend beyond 1 PO game). And then around March, the pre draft buildup, the Combine and resulting "debates' ramp up. So while these are poor substitutes, they'll still keep you relatively engaged and off the street and out of trouble

Yes but at least there will be Dolphin news starting soon when free agency begins and then the possibility of new coaches coming in and the draft, OTA's etc. At least we have things to follow until training camp begins

I will follow the draft closely. Also, if there is any chance (a snowball's chance in Hades at this point) for a new CBA. If not then how a no cap offseason affects FA for the Fins. But, the draft first and foremost. Championship teams are built though the draft.

spring training, free agency signing period, draft, baseball....

I can make it till Sept.

ya i can also. i love baseball and excited for my mets season. but its just football is once a week and that one game a week is special and im going to miss it.

The offseason really is not all bad. Nothing beats Sundays in the fall watching our Dolphins play, but I do enjoy the different NFL events that take place during the offseason.

I really enjoy draft(which is actually going to be three days this year), the rumors and speculations that take place during late February and March with free agency. Mini camps in May and June, training camp in July. Even the Senior Bowl in late January is fun because it contains all future NFL players.

there's always the draft. it doesn't get super depressing for me until after that.

I'm not letting that thought creep in until it breaks down the doors at 3:57pm eastern standard on Sunday. IF AT ALL.

It is depressing the lulls between the draft and the season, but for me there is plenty of non football events that fill the void. Summer movie season, I usually travel during the summer, so it helps ease the pain. :)
