Ok, I'll probably get roasted for this since it's so early in the season, but we cannot depend on this guy aNY more. He is not worth the money we are paying him to be constantly injured. Hopefully he can last for us this one more year, but after this, its time to move on. Save money, draft

Think before you post

You don't think we need to obtain his replacement next offseason? He's always been made of glass, now it's old, brittle glass. Simply can't rely on him any more (never really could).

I won't roast you for this topic. Albert was a good player. But he gets hurt every other play. Unfortunately, I think it's only a matter of time until he's done for an extended period. He's made of glass.

I actually had the same thought... Ill re evaluate tomorrow of its drunk thoughts...

Well he barely plays for us anyway so doesn't matter

We need to think about his replacement yes but I take this as a classic in game thread

No reason for you to be roasted. If there is a top tackle available in the draft you absolutely have to consider making that move. Does anyone on this board honestly think Albert is going to stay healthy this season and next? lol

Lol are you serious? I don't know if your defending my statement or not because you decided to contribute nothing to this conversation. How the hell can you not think otherwise, do you think it's a good investment to pay that much money to a guy that's never on the field? I got an idea, let's bring big Jake back then. Man, all our problems solved right there

I bet a lot of us have been thinking about it before today's game. We've just be crossing our fingers. As someone said, we have no alternatives this year. But this is another area we need to address in the offseason, along with linebacker, running back and guard.

Edit: And probably kicker.

last week he got his bell rung and missed a few plays, and i believe he dislocated a finger. nevertheless, he started this week. he came out one play to re-tape the dislocated finger, and went back in. now he has come out with a hamstring injury, which is likely attributable to returning to action 10 months removed from a torn ACL and MCL and starting at LT in the NFL.

i don't think anyone is thinking about a long term extension, but this guy should not even medically be playing right now, and he has been trying to tough his way through.

great example to the young guys on our team. at every position.
