Is it time to revise those season predictions?

I like what I see from the Offensive play calling, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. What I want to see and I think everyone wants to see from the offense (Henne especially) is consistently. It is hard to be consistent (in a good way) in a consistently bad offense (Offensive coordinator), which has been the case since Henne has been here. We shall see if we can build off of this performance. Henne played well, but needs to find that deep pass, you only get so many of those "chunk yardage" plays.

On the other side, the defense needs to hold on to the stupid ball when there is a chance to get the int. This cost us a few games.

If we can do those 2 things, I think that there is no reason why we can't win 10-11 games. Think about it, we had 7 wins last year. We gave up the Jets game with dropped ints and Jason Allen sucking at corner, we should have won the Steelers game (horrible freaking call by the ref), and could have easily won against the Browns, Bills, and Lions. We weren't as far off last years as some may think. The offense will be much better this year!

Somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8

Aside from Jake and a rookie (who we don't even know how he'll fare this season), the O-line is garbage.

And this team is relying on too many inexperienced rookies altogether.

They also should have brought in a good O-lineman and another good skill position player on offense via FA (preferably a seam-busting TE as a TE like that keeps the deep middle secondary honest for everyone else to get open). And another pass rusher who can get there off the snap would be nice. Right now we only have one guy who can do that.

If they brought in those 3 parts then I'd say they "can" go 10-6.. even with henne

I'm ready to predict that the Dolphins have shown clearly, without a doubt, that they will be able to beat the worst team in the league.

My preseason prediction was 7-9. We can certainly exceed that, but it takes more than one good preseason showing, at home and against the Panthers, to predict we can be anything.

Yeah buddy...we whipped those 32nd ranked panthers good...I'm ready to predict big things for my Dolphins...afterall, Henne has had one good half of a game in a row....woohoo!

Change it if u had us sub . 500. . . other than that no Team showed enough to kno there will be at least equal production defensively for me and improved play calling coupled with more play makers on offense so to me thats worth a few wins alone from last season. . combine with an easier schedule and I see no reason this team should win 9-10 games

I am not understanding why people are predicting a worst season than last year. The offense by itself will be better and the D will have another year under it's belt, has another legit pass rusher in JT, and a LB that can actually cover a TE. I am thinking these 6-10 people are just pissed because Henne is still the QB.

We're an improved team without Henning (replacing him with Paris Hilton would have been an upgrade) that managed to win 7 out of 8 games on the road last season including beating the future SB champions ( I know they had injuries, but with one exception, all those injured remained injured as the Pack ripped through the playoffs to win the big enchilada). A team that's fundamentally bad does not just luck into on road domination! If not for a few larcenous refs who coincidentally hail from P-Burgh, that game wouldn't have been stolen out from under us and we would have ended the season at 8-8.. a .500 team.

We have Odrich back, another year of seasoning for our young CBs, one of the top 3-5 defenders in the division in Wake.... and even in a down, discontented year, Marshall caught 86 passes for +1000 yds... with no Reggie Bush to divert attention away from him. Sanchez showed that you don't need a good QB to win..just one who either minimizes mistakes or can then compensate for them.. and if Daboll can manage Henne like Schotty does Sanchez.. now that Henne has shown some basic elusiveness also, ain't gonna be much difference between the two.

I might be able to see us taking a slight step back based on a combination of clueless coaching decisions and improvements to our opponents, but I can equally envision us taking a step forward. Either way, IMO, predicting a sub-4 win season is as nutso as predicting a +13 win season. JMO. :idk:

somewhere between 7-9 and 10-6. if everyone stays healthy and henne plays really well, 11-5.

Well they ARE undefeated so far in the preseason. I'd say the population of perfectville is probably close to doubling.

Worst case:7-9 (injuries and complete Chad meltdown)Best case:10-6(no injuries and at least 1:1 TD/Int from Henne)
