Is KC a better situation than us?

and more importantly 30 million in cap space.

That sounds like a pretty desirable destination

As I've been saying for weeks, if I was a player I would definitely choose KC over Miami. Not only would Manning get paid a lot more in KC, but he would have a better chance of success in a weaker division. Miami and KC have similar talent levels, but Miami is going to have to cut players or restructure contracts to make room for Manning. KC also has a defensive minded coach, giving Manning more freedom in the offense. KC makes a lot more sense than Miami imo.

Exactly. I don't understand why people are pointing to that one game that we played them as if that will be the deciding factor for Manning. They finished with a better record than us and they lost their quarterback as well, and we have a better backup qb.

30 million in cap space can be Manning Wayne Saturday and another elite player.

Talent is pretty close but KC plays in a much weaker division which would mean almost guaranteeing at least a home playoff game if not a bye.

Hard to say both clubs have new coaches and new direction, I think you have to throw larry year out the window.

Esp if the money is decidedly better which I think it could be. I think people are living in a fantasy land if they think money wont matter. We might have to get pretty creative

He will not make more money in KC. The restructuring of contracts is no skin off Manning either and can easily be done with several players if needed. Divisions are cyclical and it hasn't helped the Chargers it would seem. I doubt he's against the challenge of the AFC East. I think that actually might be attractive to him. C'mon, South Florida and no state taxes or KC?

Arrowhead can be arctic, like it was when we beat them in 08. Not the best climate for aging bones, especially those that are fused together.

^ This. I think the weather is a big factor for him to play at his highest level.
Cold environments will be a negative factor in his decision.

I think Manning relishes the opportunity to play Brady more often. With Manning and Wayne added, it can be argued that we will have the best offense in the AFCE, and among the top in the NFL with the players we have.

It's a weaker division but I think that's honestly all they have over us.

The talent level is about the same but, as mentioned, they play in bad weather in the later months: something that can't be too desirable for him at this point.

Miami, Houston and the NFC west make the most sense for him.
