I noticed Wayne didn't include the General Manager when he named the men he instructed to begin the search for a new head coach.

I think the group think around these parts at least is that Wayne didn't say one way or another because he wants to keep all options open. Mueller may be the best GM available for "free" and may be necessary if the next coach either doesn't want total control or isn't of the sort of status where he can demand it. On the other hand, he didn't want to turn off the total control coaching types.

i dont think he's involved in the process of picking a new head coach. Wayne explained that the same guys who picked Saban are still within the organization, theres no need for the GM to pick.
