Ok, the Bears were a very succesfull team last year(Superbowl Appearance) and are expected to do well this year, but everytime I look over or think about their team I can't help but to feel that Miami is just as good or better than these guys. When you compare the Bears to Miami, The Phins have better players at a lot of positions IMO. Lets take a look shall we.......

QB: Miami: Say what you want about Trent Green, but he IS a better QB than Grossman!!!

RB: Miami: Ronnie Brown is/was just as good as or better than Thomas jones, and he is Better than Benson(these guys have a great O-line to run behind while Miami's has been suspect at best.

FB: Miami: Sledge is better than Ayanbendjo(Sp?)

WR: Miami: IMO Miami wins this category hands down, Chambers, Booker, Hagan, and Ginn are better than any 4 the BEars can put on the field.

TE: Bears: I'm gonna have to give this one to the Bears, Greg Olsen and Desmond Clark are just better than David Martin until proven otherwise.

O-line: Bears: Bears get this one without question, even though I think Miami's O-line Will surprise everyone and play well it's just not nearly enough yet to pick them over a tough Chicago O-line.

DT: Miami: Without Tank Johnson I have to give the slight edge to Miami here, Traylor even at his age is a force to move, and not many of Chicago's players here impress me that much.

DE: Miami: JT+Roth > Ogun and Brown or wheoever else they put over there

LB: Miami: Bears LB's are great but....Zach, Porter, Crowder then throw in JT as a hybrid DE/LB could be the best LB corps in the league IMO. If you break it down Zach is just as good or better as Urlacher, Porter is just as good as Briggs, and Crowder is probably as good as Hillenmeyer, and then when you got JT at OLB he's better than everyone else.

CB: Push: This is an area some will probably argue but IMO Will Allen, Goodman, Jason Allen, and T. Daniels are just as good or better than Ricky Manning Jr., Charles Tillman, Nathan Vasher, and a bunch of rooks.....

Safety: Chicago: I love Bell and Co., but Archuletta, and Mike Brown are just better and more proven at this point

ST's: Chicago: I guess you would have to give the edge to the Bears here just because they are more proven with Hester in the NFL as a return man, I know we all think that Ginn will be either one of the best or THE best returner in the NFL but until he proves it on Sunday's it's hard to give him the edge over HEster.

I didn't do Kickers or Punters because I just don't know much of anything about their K or P, and I really don't know much about Feeley either.

So In review Miami is either equal to or better than Chicago at 8 out of 12 category's. Now I will admit that the category's Chicago leads in are Very BIG category's because 1st of all O-line...... their better O-line in turn makes it easier for the entire offense as Benson will have more and wider holes to run through and Grossman will get more time to throw. And Safety......I used to play Safety in HS and the 2 years of Semi-Pro football I played so IMO it is one of the most important positions on defense as you have to be able to step up and make every tackle while also covering anyone from RB's, to TE's, to WR's downfield on pass plays. I do however still believe Miami is just as good(or better????) than the Bears at least on paper as they equal to greater talent overall. Discuss...........

Chicago is in a weaker conferance and division. To compare players is not possible because of the level of competition. You seen what happened last year when we played didn't you? I'll go by that until they prove they can hang with us.

Interesting analysis, but for now, I think you have to give the Bears the CB position. Tillman and Vasher are excellent starters, and Manning is a nickel who could probably start on many teams. They have a lot of talent there. Now, Jason and Travis could easily turn into very good players, both are young, but right now they have something to prove.

I would be less certain about just handing the Bears the safety position though. I think that Bell and Hill both had quietly productive seasons for us, and were actually pretty underrated by the fans. Yeremiah looks to be a true playmaker, and Renaldo was a model of consistency. They werent always flashy, but they got the job done. I really like the tandem. As for the Bears, Archuleta is pretty questionnable right now, considering his disastrous tenure in Washington, and the fact that I always felt he was pretty overrated. The man just cannot cover. That said, Im not sure he is guaranteed to start, as Danieal Manning had a fine rookie season. Interesting debate at this position.

Heres an analysis 31-13. We beat them on O. We beat them on D. We beat them on ST's. We beat them at their house 31-13. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

chicago's linebackers are better than ours as well, brian is superior than anyone we have at the position by far,,briggs is outstanding,a legitimate probowl player in his prime.

crowder has yet to prove anything, zach is still the man but we must be realistic about his shortcomings,,porter i like.

as a group there definate;ly better than us

Briggs isn't even going to play for them again. They have nothing any better than us. Again people 31-13 and they are losing players.

Zach's shortcomings? Please enlighten us as to what those would be.

Porter and Briggs are not far off, you can give the edge to Brian over Zach, but Channing is above Hillenmeyer. It may be close, but no way can you say their LBs are DEFINITELY better.

i think we have a good team we have a better then we did in 2005 and we were 9-7 that year

Briggs said he will never play another game for them so why is he still being compared? Did anyone mention 31-13 and we have signed people while they lose people?

Briggs is a straight byproduct of having Urlacher. Put him somewhere else and I'll be he's not the same type of player.

How much weaker the NFC is than the AFC is literally ridiculous. We saw that last year when the Dolphins flat out embarrassed the Bears in Chicago. I think our front 7s are equal but we may have over taken them with them losing Johnson and eventually Briggs. Their secondary is light years ahead of ours though, they are tough back there and I would love to have Vasher, Brown and co. on my team. As for offense, I'll take our QB, our RBs, our WRs and their line. So yeah, we match up with the Bears very well.

We may better than Chicago, but we play in a much tougher division. Its no secret the AFC East is much better than the NFC North. When you break down the positions, we may have the better players, but when their is such a big disparity of the quality of teams in the two divisions, it will always be tougher to play in the AFC East than the NFC North. The bottom line is, Miami, New England, Buffalo and the Jets are better than Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay and Detroit.

Put the fins in that weak --- NFC and they would have made the playoffs last year too.

The sad part is over last five years I think we have beaten quite a few eventual SB participating teams. Hopefully, this year us our year.
