Is Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, keeping strange secrets and lying about the statuses of players?
Last week it was reported that the Miami Dolphins and Adam Gase were under investigation about how they reported hurt quarterback Ryan Tannehill before the Chicago Bears game. Now, after a crushing defeat Sunday at the hands of the Detroit Lions, it seems there might be some internal questions starting to surface.

I really believe that Gase is still in the stage where he is learning on the job. This isn't a loaded team talent-wise and the 4-3 record is pretty indicative of that. Sure with Bellichick the team would be better, but Miami isn't getting him. At the very least, the team has been resilient with Gase and that says a lot in an NFL where the talent level is pretty equal.

There are concerns with Gase. I'm disappointed that the offense hasn't taken off yet and that is really where is was suppose to make the biggest difference.

I definitely want to see how this year plays out and then I think we all can better evaluate where he is as a coach.

The reality is that the Dolphins haven't had a truly competent, winning head coach since Shula. JJ was here for a paycheck. Saban had his eyes elsewhere. Beyond that the list is a bunch of has beens or glorified 2nd fiddles.

Pair that up with a string of QB's who are ok, not bad, have their moments...but are not truly playoff QB's and most certainly not Super Bowl QB's. Then you get what you get. Mediocrity. 20+ years of bullshit.

I think he is in over his head as team manager. I see a lot of people saying he should be stripped of play calling. I think it's the opposite. His head coaching duties have hindered his expertise. I think his only job should be play calling. Rizzi is asst. head coach, let him handle the team as a whole.

I don't know if he's incompetent..

But it seems that EVERY YEAR since he's been the coach, we've had some type of player\management issue. Two offensive linemen cut his first year, the next year Jay Ajayi traded mid season, Landry ugly breakup, Phillips cut mid season, Tannehill injury reporting gate, now this issue with Parker....

I don't know if that's incompetence.... but it's something.

This really seems to be another case of Gase being stubborn. There have been multiple games so far where our smurf WR corps got beat up, jammed, and taken out of the game. Parker is the only big-bodied WR on this team. He brings a necessary dimension, even if he isn’t targeted 15 times per game.

Yet we’ve been given a nonsensical story about a 6-week quad injury. The guy gets in full practices and isn’t active. Gase is actively hurting his own offense with his stubborn approach to player management. It’s not only with Parker, it’s Gase’s handling of Kenyan Drake.

It's so week to week. He mostly looks over-matched, but then sometimes comes through with an awesome game-plan, a good adjustment in the 2nd half, or a nice come from behind 4th quarter win and we all call him a genius.

I think the jury is still out on him. He's young enough to learn from his mistakes and turn into a good coach, but it seems he's too proud to look in the mirror and see his short-comings (offensive play-calling specifically) to make these adjustments.

He’s not incompetent. I look at this season as year 2 for him, as last years disaster would be difficult for any experienced coach

He's done some really positive things as a head coach here, but he's also failed in other areas.

Particularly his first half play-calling has been too conservative, which has led to slow starts in almost every game he's been here. Also, imo he should've relied on a veteran DC to handle the defensive side of things since the minute he got here. Both Joseph and Burke as first-time DC's have struggled in part because of their inexperience. Coaches, just as players, need time to develop a better feel for their job.

What I've liked from Adam is our ability to win close games and show resiliency as a football team. Also how he's managed to win games with different (and very limited) QBs.

But his biggest weakness I think is his stubbornness. Something that could potentially prevent him in the future from correcting the things that he needs to correct in order to become a better head coach and a better leader.

I'm rooting for him, but I need to see improvement not just in the team, but in his own development as a head coach as well.

It's not just the incompetence as some have suggested, but he's Stubborn as a Mule. All he cares about is calling plays. He's doesn't seem to care about his defense giving up 450 yards a game dating back to 2017. Imagine a team giving up close to if not more than 4500 yards since week 7 of 2017, which is 16 games. Well that's our beloved Dolphins, Tom Olividotti anyone?

s last years disaster would be difficult for any experienced coach

Im not giving a pass to the organization for hiring an inexperienced HC. Matter of fact, it is the reason to fire him and blame the organization for putting us through that.

The basis of this article is the investigation into the handling of Tannehill\s injury reporting and Parker's agent's tweet???? Question his play calling, seeming lack of engagement with the defense and the team's readiness to start games, but these two "issues" are non issues to me.
