Is Mike Wallace built for an expanded role?

Sherman did hamper the 1 trick pony. Lazor s/b able to do for Wallace what Martz did for Az-Zahir Hakim

If you really take a good look at it...it makes a lot of sense...tannehill threw way better to guys who run good routes, he didn't seem to have a problem hitting guys like Hartline, clay and Gibson down field. I'm not saying Wallace is all to blame because there was a few that were definitely on tannehill but when u don't know where a guys gonna be it can cause u to hesitate instead of just letting the ball go. It is just odd to me that Wallace is the only one he has a problem hitting 20 yards or deeper down the field on a consistent basis.

I know a lot of people defend him for being a one trick pony because they're obsessed with deep bombs or whatever but Wallace does need to improve his route running for sure. With that kinda speed if he ran as crisp as routes as Hartline he would be way more of a threat and he would be open more.

But I do think Wallace and Tanny get it down this year. Moving Wallace around will be a great thing for Tanny and Wallace.

Ah...but will we get decent O-line play?

I''m not worried about left tackle this year....but it seems to me with Pouncey's situation, were asking Alot from most of the rest of the line with little or no NFL starts under their belt.........

Then....we're asking them to gel into a cohesive unit right away?

Seems a bit unrealistic to me to expect too much.

This is what worries me.....in year one Tannehill had very weak receiving Corp...the worst I'be ever seen in Dolphin history.

Year 2...the worst O-line I've ever seen in Dolphin history.

Now in year 3....We are throwing together a patchwork line with 5 New starters in week 1...and expecting Tannehill and Co. To take the next step...join the elite in the NFL.

And if they don't...is Tannehill going to be blamed?

According to some, Pouncey is due to be replaced by a 7th rd pick and not miss a beat.

This year will come down to Tannehill, period. Fair or not. If they (RT and Philbin) show growth and a fight, they will get year 4. But RT has to take a step this year.

As for Wallace, I don't expect big impact stat wise. But those around him will or should benefit from his presence.
