I listened to Davone Bess' interview with Joe Rose and he was talking about Ikechuku Ndukwe. He said Ndukwe was walking around outside without a shirt on before the game at Arrowhead Stadium. Bess said something to the effect that Ndukwe must be crazy and said he (Bess) got cold just looking at him.

i still dont understand how football players play in those type of weather games with short sleeve on anyways

Playing in cold weather is really no big deal. No matter how cold it is go out and run around the block once and you feel fine and dandy.

It is waiting to get back on the field that makes it cold.

It's like when I go surfing without a wetsuit and all of the 145 pound twerps in their full wetsuits start shivering just looking at me. It's all mind over matter until the hypothermia sets in.

LOL - You're a freaking hero - for about 35 seconds!

Considering the amount of contact in football and adding to that some 0 degree weather game.... All I got to say about them football players is....

Respect.

there is a diff btw running and gettin hit while running.

fall on frozen grass/dirt or get hit by 4 280 lbs men on ur way to that frozen dirt and tell me if its the same thing as running around the block loll

Vasoline is a foreign substance in the NFL right?

Makes me think of the Jeff Buckey jersey heist in Tampa Bay in '97.

it's not to keep the skin warm, it's to take the bite off of the wind that will blow across the skin. Cold is cold....wind chill, however, is only a temperate effect that a living entity feels. The petroleum jelly acts as a barrier between the skin and wind friction, reducing cold sensation. If I set a cup of water outside in 20 deg. weather and then blow on it....it won't be any different temp than when I wasn't blowing. However, living creatures have nerve endings that can effect sensation whereas inanimate objects are only the molecules that make them up.

.....if that made any sense

Makes alot of sense my friend...

Having gone to the game at Arrowhead Sunday... it was the coldest I think I have ever been in my life. I think I almost lost a couple toes. It got to the point where I had to wiggle my toes to make sure they were there. I couldn't feel them move, but my shoe moved so I knew I still had them.

I guarantee those fools were out there freezing there butts off in that cold.
