Is Ogun a poor run defender?

I have to agree that he must be pretty damn good against the run, because as many said we didn't give up a 100 yard rusher all season. Something people didn't point out is that he has Greenwood playing behind him while JT and Seau play on the same side, so you know every team was running to the strong side 90% of the time.

what's funny is how may times o-gun had tackles for losses when teams tried to run reverse right at him. O- GUN is the man and a great de where ever.. Hopefully for Miami next f- the seahawks

I just read this at channel 10.com in their preview of the jets/fins game.

"By running, the Jets can keep the Dolphins off balance. When they run, the Jets will try and run at Ogunleye, who is an excellent pass rusher but a poor run defender."

I never really noticed that Ogun struggled with the run. There's no way Seattle would give up a first and a third plus pay big $$$$ if Ogun can't help stop the run.

Is channel 10 correct on its assessment?

It seems that alot of times, O-gun hits the RB behind the LOS. Funny how these reports miss these kind of things tho !! ;)
