Despite Henne's decent 87.8 quarterback rating, he completed just 12 of 21 passes, and not all of his misses can be blamed on drops (there were a few of those). We're learning this Michigan man with the rocket arm isn't very accurate, and the Jets were effective at preventing him from rolling out, which we've learning is his strength.

a) not many QB's are accurate in every game

b) a few drops means he could have been 15 for 21 with 1 TD and no picks

c) the running game was stellar wasn't it?

Oh, Omar definately has an agenda. Any guy that thought Cleo Lemon was a good QB, always makes me raise an eyebrow.

He has his moments that his commentary is spot on. Other times he's just .......

What does Kelly expect him to do when his best WR is a rookie that doesn't get much playing time? He missed a TD opportunity to Hartline, but save for that, the WR's had big problems getting open.

The thing is, everyone expected Henne to replicate his numbers from the MNF Jets game every week, when that's just not realistic. Hell even Brady, Manning and Brees don't put up numbers like that every week (with the exception of a few years like Manning in 04 and 09 and Brady in 07.)

Plus, to expect this from a guy after a handful of starts is ludicrous.
Henne will be fine. He just needs to get some more games under his belt and get some confidence. He already showed is remarkable potential a few weeks ago. All the qbs that become busts in the league NEVER have games like Henne did last month against the Jets.

The future is bright with number 7 boys

I actually think he is pretty spot on. Do you remember Henne overthrowing Harltine for a sure TD early in the game? I saw several passes zip over WRs heads. Part of this was the pressure the Jets were getting on him, part of it was him. I think Henne struggled more this week. Of course with crappy WRs its not as easy to look good. Give him Braylon Edwards, Justin Keller, and Jericho Cothery and he would have looked better. He is young, he is still developing. He does need to learn to get rid of the ball and not take so many sacks.

Completion % in first full year:

Ryan – 61.1%
Flacco – 60.0%
Manning – 56.7%
Bress – 60.8%
Rivers – 61.7%
Henne – 59.7%

I think young scooter will be just fine as long as he doesn’t turn the ball over.

Are we seriously discussing how accurate a Dolphins beat writer is and what his "agenda" might be? Next we're gonna be wondering whether the water boys use a 3 or 5 step drop when pitching the bottles.

And, Henne is at 59.7% with LOTS of drops the past 2 games.

If even just 4 drops were catches, then his % is 63%.

Omar Kelly had me until he quite stupidly said "we're learning that the Michigan man with the rocket arm isn't very accurate"

That's just dumb. But I can honestly say, totally unsurprising.

One thing that is also failed to be mentioned is that the Meadowlands is one of the toughest stadiums to throw, or kick the ball in. The winds swirl and there is a wind tunnel effect on the field. If you noticed Henne overthrew a few in the 1st and 4th when the wind was in his back. Did anyone notice how Sanchez's passes were underthrown in in the 1st and 4th as well. Heck the ball was moving just sitting on the ground.
