Is our O-Line improved?

Better question is how in the hell did we come out of the draft with only 1 OL and 1 CB?
That is a good question. When guys like Mbow were available late?
I loved the Jonah pick. I liked the Daniels pick up. But it seems like Miami does the bare minimum needed to address the line.
Right now, on paper our starting O line is upgraded. But our depth is full of the top 2 guys being arguably the worst options available in FA (Borom/Eich) and UDFA'S, last years practice squad guys or late round picks from the last 2 years. Guys many on here probably have no clue who they are (Carman, Meyer etc)
Doesn't mean some of these guys in reserve roles won't pan out. But it doesn't exude confidence. Our O line has the same vibe as our QB. "WELL is we lose 1 to injury, were fu$$ed" lol
We shall see how it plays out. The upside is that out O line is not as injury prone as it used to be, so there's that. We only have 1 injury prone guy and someone coming back from a season ending injury in Daniel. Who knows
Cody Whitehair, Brandon Scherff, Will Hernandez, etc are still on the market.

This is true.
In this draft we focused on trenches and secondary really. Our first 3 picks were trenches which was great. The only issue is Miami only had 2 high round picks. So the investment in the secondary is relying on 5th and 6th round talent.
The only real argument that can be made is not necessarily position, but who specifically Miami picked. I think this was a great draft in terms of what the team needed. Would I have preferred a guy like Mbow over Marshall? Sure. But again, were talking about 5th/6th round talent at this point. Not 2nd or 3rd. Again, not to say some of these late round guys end up being studs.
The only real pick for me that was WTF, was Ollie. I mean, I like Ollie but did we really need another RB? But when you realize Ollie was a 6th round pick, who cares at that point lol.
However, only 1 drafted O linemen is still a concern for me

AJ has missed nearly 50% of his games the last 3 seasons, so I’d label him as injury prone too.
Borom step on up! Losing Lamm at swing tackle hurts.
That's the thing right there. Which is why I personally don't understand this team.
AJ is absolutely injury prone. Let's say Daniel is not ready to go, or reaggravates his injury.
Miami could very easily see a starting line up featuring Eichenberg at RG and Borom at RT very early in the season for extended time.
This isn't a "what if". I mean it is, but with their histories or current status it is more likely then not going to happen.
This is why it just drives me nuts watching people justify the make up of this O line. (Specifically talking about reserves)
Miami KNOWS going into the season their top backup will get significant playing time with their #7 linemen potentially starting game 1 depending on Daniels recovery.
Yet, they chose to sign 2 of the worst available FAS.
It just boggles my mind..we've seen how this plays out for 3 seasons now

Not gonna lie, I’m geeked out for the potential of the Dolphins interior O-line for the first time in a looooong time.
I love Brewer at Center and I think the additions of Daniels and Jonah S. at the Guard spots give our IOL the chance to be downright nasty. Being a fanatic for University of Utah football, I saw A LOT of Jonah S. the last few seasons. Every time Utah faced him, he jumped off the screen with flat out physically dominant play. What makes that more impressive: For 2+ decades, Kyle Whittingham has made sure that Utah’s calling card is beating the living **** out of opponents in the trenches and its EXTREMELY rare to see an O-lineman repeatedly whipping a Utah D-line that is constantly putting players in the NFL. I have zero doubts or worries about Jonah from day 1 starting for the Dolphins.
Honestly, I think it will all come down to the health of our tackles. If Patrick Paul and Jackson can play the majority of games this season, we could FINALLY see a dramatic shift in O-line play. Hoping for Austin Jackson to stay healthy is dicey at best, but at least there’s finally legit potential to field a quality O-line in Miami…

if AJ misses time as Jonah has played over 1000
snaps the last two seasons at right tackle
Starting 5 is a definite improvement. I believe Patrick Paul will be legit and he has what armstead didn’t have, AVAILABILITY!
Jackson is only getting better, brewer finished top 10 C, and James Daniel’s and Jonah S are way better than last year starters…
BUT…. Our DEPTH, is pathetic and an embarrassment to an organization who continues to jeopardize our season by not reinforcing the OL to keep tua upright.

I think Kion Smith is the answer at backup Tackle and Boron is the best option at Guard, although that's pure conjecture on my part. (on Boron)
Boron is not a tackle as he's proved for the Bears, even though that's where he has been in the play day camps so far. Hopefully Eich is way down the list of backups, he's been a major disappointment. I don't know what McGoober saw in him to make him think that he would be a suitable starter last year along with RJ, one of the reasons I have lost faith in him.
