Every schedule in the NFL is difficult, some more so than others. I readily admit that our schedule is difficult this year, but is it as difficult as everyone makes it out to be?

Division games usually make or break a team - 6 games out of 16 will be played against New England, Buffalo, and the Jets. Wannyball did not fare well in the AFC East. For whatever reason, Herm Edwards owned Wannstedt and we usually underperformed against the Jets. We've had mixed results with the Patsies and Bills in the past.

This year may be different. As tough as the AFC East is, maybe the best division in the NFL, there are a few chinks in the armor this year, which may give us a chance to improve our division record.

First of all, I believe the glory days for the Patsies are over. To be sure, as long as King Bill rules in Foxboro, they will be very competitive. But the loss of both coordinators and a few players may finally knock the Patsies off their perch. They never dominated anyway (with the exception of the Colts last year), they simply outlasted other teams and played smart football. Bellichick admitted that there is no smarter coach than Nick Saban.

Herm Edwards simply outcoached Wanny. That won't happen this year. I think the aging Curtis Martin and the gimpy Chad Pennington will be 2 reasons why the Jets won't be as effective this year. They've lost a key O-lineman and I don't think their defense will be as good either.

Finally, the Bills start newbie J.P. Losman. Never bet on a rookie. The Bills will struggle. Losing Jennings may weaken the line as well. Saban will pressure the he!! out of Losman and we will have no problem with the Bills.

If we stay healthy and make less mistakes than we did last year, I think we can win a lot of games in our division. If we do well in the AFC East, we should do very well in other games, since our division is arguably the best.

A final thought, we had two playoff teams - the Super Bowl Champs and the Jets in our division and a very good Bills team, yet we still went 4-12 last year under absolutely horrible conditions. Things can only get better this year. I think we split with the Jets and Patsies and sweep the Bills in 2005.

Well, people only look at what the teams did last year to rank your sch if it is tough or not. Alot of teams wont play like they did last year, but i guess we will have to wait and see.

We supposedly last year had a very favorable schedule but we as fans didn't forsee or take in account of all the disruptions and problems the Dolphins faced.

That's exactly right 88. A year can make a huge difference in the NFL. Look at the turnaround in San Diego last year. All I've heard and read is how incredibly difficult our schedule is this year, but it is based on last year's performance. The bottom line though is that we have to take care of the AFC East first.

Based on this year's projections. We'll play 8 games against top ten defenses, 7 games against playoff teams from last year. Nevermind that we play Buffalo twice, who barely missed the playoffs last year. Also, we have two games against very potent offenses in KC and Oakland. Yeah, I think it looks pretty tough.

Yep I am always whining about schedules and byes then we finally get a "easy" schedule and a latter bye and we pissed it away wadda ya do! actually this years schedule at the moment does'nt look all that bad.
I think we'll take the pats wk 10 but I am still uneasy about the chiefs in week 7
and as fot the pats on week 17 I think it's 50/50.

The media likes to say our schedule is the toughest in the NFL this year and because of the tough schedule, we will only win 3 or 4 games. I say that our schedule is tough, but not that tough. I think we will win 3 or 4 games in our division alone.

Nice Spin FinFan, but only south floridians are buying it.

How do you know Saban won't get out coached? How is pressureing Losman going to be any different than pressureing Bledsoe? McGahee is still going to dictate the O, except this time when we run PA Passes you won't have any secondary to shut down Moulds and Evans...oh?...i forgot.

You act like the Bills just had thier RB quit or something?

I think we have a tough schedule but who knows all of a sudden Jets lose Pennington and our schedule looks 2 games easier then we thought or Mcgahee goes down and all the pressure is on Losman. It all depends on how people play in the season if there in a slump but right now I would say we have like top ten hardest schedule.

Just watch and learn troll. Jason, Matt (Roth), and Kevin (Carter) will be making JP their new beyotch. He will remind you of one of your former QB's named Rob that Jason deflowered also.

Don't worry about our secondary, Saban is an expert in that area.

OK dude, Matt roth won't even be on the field the first time we play...and how many sacks did Taylor get last season against an immobile Bledsoe?

I'm not worried about your secondary, thats the point.

- Nice points Losman but I think he might be trying to say that Saban won't get outcoached like Wanny does
- I totally agree on the pressure statement plus how do you know the Bills wont pressure us like Dolphins pressure considering our o-line isnt great and Feely wasn't to impressive under pressure
- Our secondary is not as bad as everyone is making it to be I think a lot of people our going to be surprised on how well they play if our second CB steps up whoever it is.

Wanny was a bad coach, and hated around here, but he still had you guys consistantly winning for years before last.
Saban has more upside, but its still his first NFL HC gig, his last NFL experiance was long ago.
