Is Philbin the worst coach in franchise history?

Has to be Cam Cameron . . . 1-15 lifetime record with the sound bytes that he has . . . . yea no brainer. Hell the next year a new coach has a 10 win improvement.

cameron only coached one season so it's hard to tell - if given more time he may have turned us into a juggernaut - LMAO!

it's close; Philbin was worse than Morono - at least his teams gave effort - they just couldnt make up for his stuck in the late 70's style of ball mentality.

put it this way, of any coach we ever had for 2 years or more, he has to be the worst. Even worse than the guy who was our expansion team coach before Shula - because, well, we were an expansion team he gets a pass.

Cam Cam-M0r0n was the worst coach that is obvious.

The 2nd worst would be the guy that Shula replaced.

He might be the 3rd worse. Shoot he can't even do that well. :loser1:

You know something that is kind of overlooked is...

the popular perception of Philbin is that he is too soft and lacks passion.

BUT the players saw a completely different side of him. Their take was that he was too HARD and too much of a disciplinarian
 
Cam Cameron was by far the worst, Drafting Ted Ginn and his family.... He lost the team like 6 games into his first season. Took Joe 4 years to get this bad.
 
Let's not minimize how terrible Philbin has been now that he's gone. We're seeing 1-15 performance this year from a roster with talent that is not even on the same planet as the roster Cam Cameron had. They're both garbage HCs, but Joe managed to be worse.
 
Not even close. Philbin was as mediocre as mediocre gets. But nothing close to 1-15 fail forward fasts it Sabah hug tailing out of town after lying and posting 9-7 and 7-9 records.

100% this. Philbin wasn't awful, just slightly below average. Don't act like he was the worst coach of all time. Geez
