It seems that I keep hearing how well he is playing which I'm excited about, but just wanted to see if him making it is somewhat known now.

I see it being
CJ
Bess
Nannee
Hartline
Wallace
???????
My concern is if we go with those WR's is all of the but Bess are FA next year (not certain about Wallace) so we wouldn't really be developing any. I imagine Fuller, Cunningham (who I think will be solid), Matthews, & Pruitt will be possible practice squad guys at least 2 of them if they aren't snatched up by another team.

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Philbin & I'm sure him & Sherman have a plan just curious how it plays out.

its called contract extensions...my predictions are nannee, johnson, bess, hartline, pruitt and suprise is fuller. gates will eventually get the ax i imagine...how sad.

I understand that contract extensions can happen but it's not guaranteed they re-sign with us. I didn't mean to leave off Gates but it doesn't seem to be to looking good for him.

Watch out for the Jersey kid
Chris Hogan..

That is, until he ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash, blew away the competition in the other speed drills and bench-pressed 225 pounds 28 times at Fordham's pro day March 8. Each of those figures would have put him at, or near, the top of the receivers who worked out at the NFL Scouting Combine.

He's also 6' 2" and 220 with a ton of speed for that size..

Ryan hit this kid all day in practice from what Omar tweeted.

Julius Pruitt might have the edge on that 6th WR spot because..

1) He doesn't have any practice squad eligibility left (he was on active roster last year).

2) He plays special teams.

Funny you say that I listened to Jimmy Wilson on Finsiders (love the I heart radio app do I can hear Finsiders now) & he said Hogan d Hogan has been really impressive.

Normaldude: thanks for the info on Pruitt

I still think they should have drafted Marvin McNutt instead of Cunningham.

hartline bess cj banananananaae wallace pruitt. fuller and mathews on practice squad. cunningham, moore, gates cut

Penn State? I hope Sandusky didn't diddle him

Chad Johnson,Bess,Wallace,Hartline. I think the other one comes from either trade, someone that get cut. Maybe a big maybe Plaxaco? We need a rec. with hands.

I think both Wallace and Pruitt will make this roster. Wallace is a big receiver that we need....and he's been playing well in OTA and camp by the reports, being compared physically to Brandon Marshall. Pruitt also seems to be making strides, and adds some to the coverage teams on punts/kickoffs as well. I think Gates gets cut. He doesn't run a complete route tree well, has been hurt, and only adds to special teams on punt returns.

Now to Chad Johnson. EVERYTHING to this point has been positive. He is liked by teammates, is working hard, keeps things interesting, etc. He's perfect for HBO as well. BUT......it seems as though he's dropped a few balls and is still trying to learn the offense, something he couldn't do in NE. IF.....and this is a big if.....IF he can't get the playbook down, he has to go. I know some of the guys on this team will be upset b/c he's likeable, but we can't spend another year on a retread WR when we have young guys with promise on this team that need playing time, so we can see if they have it or not. We need to build for the future and Chad is not it. If he can help this year, great.....we need help. But if he's a 4th WR, i don't think he's worth keeping, especially since he offers nothing on special teams.

At this point I wouldn't consider anyone not named Bess a lock. I do have my doubts that Hartline will make the roster unless he is PUP. Other then that it's wide open.
