Is Reshad Jones a locker room cancer?

That's what I like about you, flynryan15; your posts are never ridiculously negative.

Temp solution to FS problem: Darren Sharper

You say negative I say reality. Now if I cut the Jets Defense to shreds you would be thanking me. Don't shoot the messenger my friend it isn't me laying a egg in gameday!

As of week 2 I can't disagree with flynryan, but I think the assessment is off and solely picks out their flaws to try and prove a point. I don't have an argument because we haven't seen otherwise, but I think this D has "potential", which we all know doesn't mean squat.

-Davis has always given up big plays, but also comes up with big plays. So far this year he's been out of shape and hasn't made the big plays.
-Smith is soft, but runs with the receivers very well. Still doesn't mean anything once again.
-I still think Dansby is the man, but 50 mill for unfortunate nagging injuries is upsetting.
- Burnett has been invisible.
-Wake is still the man, but has been contained.
- The Dline in general has been lacking
-Bell is ok. Pro Bowl Reserve a couple years back doesn't mean much now. He's still a leader.

I don't know what it is this season but we haven't been in position to get takeaways. One pick by Odrick and that's it. No attempt on knocking the ball loose. No Physicality. Getting run all over. They gotta step up. They played ok against the Texans, but that doesn't cut it. It's not all their fault, but they are a huge contributing factor to why we are 0-2.

I am done playing the what if game! Reality is to date this defense is soft! They have zero impact plays, take aways, or game changing stops! Guess what a big game against Cleveland and thyey are still overrated! Seen that for years play big against bad and good teams, falter against great teams.

I thought you were too harsh on Bell, Langford, and Starks as well. Although you were spot on that all these guys are overrated on these boards.

Bell is old always a half step behind his man, he is stout against the run but his aggression gets him burnt in the passing game.

Fine Starks and Langford are good, but unlike the clowns running the franchise I don't place a lot of value on 3-4 DEs! Speaking of which has Ordick amassed more tackles then surgeries yet?

Well they may be overrated nationally. Weren't they both on some top 10 3-4 DE list that was out there? Kind of like Long and Carey were both on the top 10 tackle list a year ago.

I agree our most deep and best position is 3-4 DE. Good work FO you have filled probably the easiest to fill position in the NFL. I wanted to shoot someone when we picked Odrick in the draft. Completely useless pick. Even if he is a great 3-4 DE we still didn't need him at the time and had plenty of holes to fill. We could have had Earl Thomas instead we have Jared Odrick and Koa Misi. At least I assume Misi is still on the team I have yet to see him show up in a game. That is the problem with this franchise. They avoid drafting playmakers in key position and just pick up the safe pick in positions that are easily filled. I love Jake Long, but that is another area where they probably should have gone with Ryan. Low risk low reward makes you a mediocre team

Bell is always a step slow, a tad late, inches away, almost there, nice try, close but no cigar, etc....

I like Bell, always have. I respect what he's accomplished and the player he became from being such a longshot to ever make it in the NFL. He's my type of player, but he'll never be better than he is... and he's in decline now.

I'd let Jones take over for him, but these guys wouldn't even consider it until the season is lost... even then, they'd have no reason to because at that point they're gone too..

Chris Clemons is irrelevant.... Miami needs to draft a legitimate big time player at the free safety position.

I fully agree.
