If you watched the Dallas game and one Mario Williams effort at "tackling" RB's then it's hard to not consider the comments. Specifically the "MEAN" part.

Rex Ryans Comments:
Now look, with some of the comments [he made], do I wish him well? Not really," Ryan said. "But, he's on Miami. If he would have gone somewhere else, maybe. He's a good kid, but I am used to some mean motherf---ers that play out there. The Terrell Suggs, Jarrett Johnsons of the world. I screwed them, too; I had them drop [into coverage], too. Not one of them bitched.

I have never seen a DE shy away from really lightening up a RB as a free/unblocked runner. Mario Williams did it twice, while I was watching, in the Dallas game.

I think it's way too early to be thinking about this stuff.

I don't think that it's too early to keep certain things at the back of your mind. Especially when you see a DE not once but twice shy away from tackling a RB. Preseason or not that's never supposed to happen.

We know what Mario can do. It's preseason and I'd rather he take it light out there. Just like I'm glad they're resting Wake.

No, I mean in the morning.

I think Mario will be fine once the season starts, but I can't see how anyone can be a little concerned about what fans have seen so far.

Apparently, he's not the only one that's taking it "light" out there. Training and playing "light" and then expecting to turn it on when it comes to the real thing is dangerous mentality!

If he dogs in once the season starts then the concern is real. I don't give a **** about the effort in PS.

if anyone thought mario williams was going to go full-steam in the preseason they were setting themselves up for disappointment from the get....when the lights are on and the games count, we'll see how he performs...

He's an accomplished player who has terrorized offenses in his career on a consistent basis. He'll be fine.

Persoanlly, I don't like it. If you're on the field, go after it. You got other guys out there like Reshad Jones and Jarvis Landry playing like it's their last game and it's somehow ok to take a few plays off? That's how you get other guys hurt who are depending on you to do your job.

What you see is what you get. I'm not buying it that he's going to turn it on when regular season starts.

What I saw was him getting to the edge and it looked like he could get around but then he just stopped, saw that many times. New team and new coaches and he is just dogging it because its PS...don't think so.

I'm not sure how you can play for a team and watch other players going hard(See Suh) and say it's okay to take it easy. Mentality is a big deal in the NFL! Cam Wake didn't play and you and I both know he would never take it easy while others are busting their as@3ds

Espeically if you playing Defense and on the DL. Cam Wake didn't play and you and I both know he would never take it easy while others are busting their as@3ds
