Is Ricky a distraction that is hurting this team

Remember....it is not a crime to simply read posts. You do not have to add anything or post questions just to see your name on the site. As the season gets closer....the posts get dumber!:goof:

The biggest distractions last night were the linebackers barging into the backfield.

I thought he would be, but he really hasn't. If anything he has helped because not alot of negative attention is being to the o-line, the qb's, or the secondary. Normally they would be getting slaughtered alot worse than they are.

I don't think so. I think A.J. Feeley says it best in his interviews, you can't worry about what anyone else is doing, you have to worry about yourself.

He has become a non-issue. Either he practices and plays hard, like everyone else, or the coaches and management deal with him. Hes just a talented (yet flakey) running back. One of many RBs on the team.

oh my god

you people dont understand what is more valuable to this team.

ricky or no ricky and a low level pick.

come on, that low level pick will never be better than ricky williams.

Thank God, a breathe of good sense

Well , he is and isn't......even if we hadn't traded away the draft picks for him, Wannf*ck would have managed to bungle those draft picks more than likely. But who knows if we'd have had better O-Line without him, and maybe Cedric Benson would have fallen to us with the 5-7 pick in the 2005 draft (this is assuming we'd have won a couple more games last year with the better O-Line because of keeping those picks).

What has this got to do with what I said or what the thread is about?

I know that there are many holes right now for the Phins, but is Williams helping matters? It's been a huge media distraction. A big part of the pre season games has been the build up as to how he will do. Also, I would imagine that regardless what some players say, there must be many players who are not thrilled to have him there.

Brown is going to be the present and future RB of this team. Is it worth having Williams around for the chance that he may get us a 3rd or 4th rounder down the road?

If anything he is taking the focus off Ronnie Brown which is allowing him to become more comfortable with his transition.
