It seems like we can only win when Ricky Williams is on the field. That's how things went last year. Just a thought.

This losing crap is getting tough. It makes it hard to show my face at work on Monday mornings.

Ricky is not the answer

The bottom line is this team needs to come together just like last year. And this year they need to do it sooner rather than later. Or else the playoffs will not happen.

Culpepper and the O-Line must improve. Mularkey's playcalling must also improve. Chambers and McMichael need to become factors in the offense. And the team must buy into the game plan. If all these factors do come together...this team will be good.

If not, then IMHO we are on the clock.

The next few games will tell the story.

NO!!!! That is the most rediculous thing ever. Maybe if Ronnie was getting more than 14 carries a game we might be able to move the ball. The crazy thing is I thought Mularkey was a running the ball down your throat type of guy and he is trying to use Linehan's system which focuses on the pass. These two systems don't match well. I don't understand why we don't give Ronnie 25 carries a game. He had a 9 yard gain on the first play. Then we run 2 times in next 4 plays and he only gets 3 yards so we give up on the run? We need to stop throwing it 30 times a game because it is clearly not working.

Ricky Williams has little to nothing to do with it; we just aren't running the ball.......that's why we're losing. We're constantly setting ourselves in 3rd and long situations because we start off with either false starts and or a sack. We're averaging 33.5 passing attemtps per game, while only averaging 19.5 rushing attempts (17 by Ronnie Brown). How many teams are successful when they pass 63.2% of the time?

Ricky may or may not be the answer, but it would still be great to have him out there. He's clearly a playmaker and, since our o-line needs all the help it can get, I'm pretty sure our running game would be doing better and we could be taking the ball out of Culpepper's hands more often-- for however long it takes to get the passing game ironed out.

If nothing else, we spent two first-round picks for this guy. It would be nice to see him on the field every once and a while.

for all you ricky lovers: ricky's yards per carry average over the years: rookie year: 3.5, then 2 4.0 years then the big year with the fins 4.8, then the demolition year with Wanny 2003: 3.5. took a year off, came back with Nicky: 4.4. (same as ronnie brown) ronnie with his running style and lack of blocking has been unproductive and his ypc is 3.5 (sane as ricky rookie year and 2003) Bottom line: what are you wishing for? And Ricky's gonna hit 30 next year?

I don't see how having Ricky back would help unless we were running it atleast 25-30 times a game.

If being a RW lover means appreciating a good back, count me in. Ronnie is gonna be fine, but he can't not be compared to Ricky...yet.

*** NEWSFLASH ***

This just in:

The Miami Dolphins have not made the play-offs since aquiring the much maligned holistic healing running back, Ricky Williams.

The Dolphins are 26-18 when Ricky Williams plays, which is generally a good enough winning percentage to make the playoffs. The reason the Dolphins didn't make the playoffs when Williams was here is because the quarterback was never good enough.

The story has been told...we are a mediocre team at best. All the next few games will do is reinforce it. We may pull off a game here and there, because you never know how other teams will be "looking past Miami" and not be totally prepared to play us.

I am guessing (hoping) that if Ricky were here Miami would be running it at least that often.

The Dolphins' offensive line wasn't very good in 2003 (although not as bad as this year's), yet Miami still won 10 games.

Some wins would be nice.

Ironically, Miami beat the two best teams they faced last year (Denver and Carolina) before Ricky came off his suspension. But other than that, the team definitely hit its stride later in the year with Ricky in the backfield.
