Now I'm not comparing him to Ki-Jana Carter, who had the misfortune of blowing out his knee before his first NFL regular season start, but I'm starting to see Ronnie Brown as a bust, in a draft full of highly picked RB's that haven't really shown sustained superstar qualities.

I mean the Miami Dolphins waited DECADES to have a top 5 pick, and as the first high draft pick of my generation, his level of performance and inability to see holes makes him a bust in my opinion. The Dolphins made their run last year on the back Ricky Williams, especially towards the end of the season. In some twisted way I was happy that Ronnie Brown was the only featured back at the start of this season, but after watching him struggle to become a premier back in the NFL I'm kind of wondering where this team would be with Ricky Williams leading the show.

He is not a bust IF we can get some 0-lineman to help him out. LT could not run behind our guys. :rolleyes2

Add Shaun Alexander last years MVP to that list also...

i think the big problem is he is waiting for a hole to develop and none ever does so he tries to make one when he should be trying to cut back he will get better he has the physical tools to play the game and his recognition of holes will develop as time goes on

Ronnie isn't a "bust" with the offensive line runblocking the way they have been, theres nothing 1 guy can do when he has to consistantly take on 2 - 3 guys at a time to gain a yard.

Ricky really helped Ronnie out last year, being they both are quality backs and were able to wear down defenses in the 2nd half with the constant pounding of the 1 - 2 punch of Ricky and Ronnie.

Brown cant do it by himself, I just hope he doesnt get hurt this season, and Ricky is able to come back next year and produce. I think they both can rush for 700 - 900 yards each, like they did for us like he did last year.

I am starting to think this guy is a bust. When I do see holes the guy could run through he sits back there and does his duking and weaving instead of hitting the hole. I am tired of people using the O line as an excuse. Every one said the same thing about the O line before we got Ricky. Then Ricky put up 1800 yards and nothing was said again about the O line. Its time for Ronnie to step up!

Everyone used the O line as an excuse when Culpepper was getting sacked game after game. What happened today? Joey had one sack thats it. So to me there is nothing wrong with the O line. Its just the players Miami has in the offense that make the O line look bad.

no variety in running plays

Where are the sweeps or counter plays? All I see are runs up the middle.

I do think he dances a bit though. Needs to be more decisive. But you can't call him a bust until he has an OL.

Thank you. Great RB's make their offensive lines look better than what they are.

Ronnie isnt a bust. OMG i dont get how ppl can think that. his o-line is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good god, you're insane.

no, he's not a bust. look up north at cadillac...not exactly impressing the world now is he, Mr. Rookie of the Year

Anyway, the problem with Ronnie Brown right now is a) the o-line isn't doing a great opening lanes because no one is playing run. They're bringing heat on almost every play because they're trying to kill the QB. Which brings me to my next point b) the playcalling is destroying RB right now. You do not give a 230 lb back that runs a 4.3 the ball less than 25 times a game. Mularkey is showing me that he has no idea how to use his weapons, which I really thought he did know. He's throwing our QBs to the wolves and not giving them any help at all with a running game. NO RUNNING BACK can really get going off of 12 carries one week and then 17 the next - unless three runs in each week went for touches.

Anyway, please don't make stupid *** posts like these, our players aren't bad. Theplay-calling is setting them up for failure!
