Don't know too much about him except that he gets the most out of his QB and believes in the power running game. I'd like to see that be the image of the Miami Dolphins.

I know the odds of Ross firing Philbin are low. But I'd be curious to learn others' opinions of the pros/cons of Darrell Bevell versus Jay Gruden. I assume Gruden has much more experience, but may be less of a fit philosophically.

Bevell isn't anything special. I wouldn't even give him an interview. There are other, more qualified coaches than Bevell. Yes, I would interview Jay Gruden. His West Coast offense is a good match, and he really gets after his QBs for perfection. Lovie Smith is another guy I would take a hard look at. If he could find the right coordinator, he could really turn the existing defensive talent into a top 10 group.

You'd like to see a power running game be the image of the Miami Dolphins? What the hell do you think we had for the last 10 years leading up to RT?!?!? Where have you been? Everyone complained they wanted a more explosive offense, we were too predictable needed to pass more, too much ground and pound. Now that we're passing more you want to go back to the power run game? Are you kidding me!! Make up your mind..... Jimmy Johnson-RUN.. Dave Wannstet-Run.. Sparano-Run... I'm sick and tired of the pound the ball boring offense, we had it forever here! Hell, last time we passed consistently, Dan was throwing the ball. You people cant make up your minds! first you want run O then it's pass O now it's run O AGAIN! Big O lineman, finese O lineman, big Olineman.......Pick something and stick with your convictions, damn bandwagon fans, you don't know what you want and when you get it you bitch!

Unbelievable

The coaching roulette wheel needs to spin. Ireland, Philbin, and Shermin have ran out of time and ideas.

Calm down grasshopper. This team is missing toughness. This staff is all about finesse/scheme and not about smash mouth. We need to have the ability to do both. It is not one way or the other.

Lovie smith as dc would be pretty damn good upgrade. But if the fanbase is really looking for change. Then the only way to send a message to Ross is by not buying tickets. Season tickets holder don't renew your season tickets. Only way dumb azz Ross will understand that we the fanbase want competent ppl running this football team. I was a season ticket holder and i stopped. Only way Ross will make a change.

Being a power run team doesn't mean they can't be explosive. Even when we run the ball, it's always out of the ***** shotgun formation. Would be nice if we can use a power run game to pick up 3rd and shorts and 4th and shorts.

100% right. This soup sipping dumbo looking mother ****er would only realize how bad this team is if he started losing money. But even if the stadium was empty, revenue sharing keeps teams afloat.

People already stopped supporting the Dolphins years ago.....how many more times do we have to say "Next year is our year!"...only to realize half way through the season that we screwed up again and only have the draft to look forward to...only to draft a lump of wood for the O-line who sucks just as much as the other lumps of wood we draft for O-line every year.

Looking for that big name free agent? He joins our team and turns into garbage....while all the guys we let walk turn into stars. Nothing good has happened to this team in years.

Is anyone going to answer the question, are we allowed to talk to him?

I actually think we need someone on defense who runs a 3-4. We have the right guys for that scheme. That would take Lovie out of the running in my eyes. I wouldn't be upset with a 4-3 defense but I think we have better pieces for a 3-4. What I really would like is guys who can put together a game plan that works but no to scrap it in game for something else if it's not. Offense and defense. Sherman/Taylor/Turner should all be gone. I feel if they are gone Philbin will be following. I think he will have a tough time letting those guys go. Coyle has taken our defense and made it worse. He has had his moments, like the game plan against the Pats but I've felt whenever his plan isn't working we don't know how to change it mid game or mid series. I hate changing coaches all the time but I think Ryan needs a new OC and QB coach minimum. Let someone else get their hands on him.

Ireland also should be gone. Bring in a new GM let someone change the culture from the top.

I would take Lovie Smith over Failbin every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
