I've seen many threads about his bad coaching, bad GM decisions. pretty much seen that the core of the fanbase isn't happy with Saban. however, there are still some who defend him. So my question is, is he the guy to take us to the promise land or is he going to be fired in a year or two without any progress toward that goal?

Yes, he's still our guy. I don't think most people appreciate how screwed-up this franchise was thanks to Wannspiel. If it was simply a case of applying a Band-Aid and a new coach for a year or two, we wouldn't have needed Nick Saban in the first place.

Where's the yes, and soon enough? This seems just slightly against Saban...
I don't think we have the team to make it anytime soon, I'm being realistic. we are more than 1 or 2 more years away from the superbowl. but if you think that then just vote yes

Who was it saying that he did not like how the press was predicting the Dolphins to go to the Superbowl?

I blame the media for everyones high expectations. They're also the ones ripping on the Dolphins when they should be ripping on themselves for creating this so-so team into a "Superbowl challenging team".

Nick knew what the real deal was back when those predictions came out.

What about the people who don't think its unrealistic to be sooner than later? Cause you don't think that's realistic, you didn't make it an option on the poll?

Yes i believe in him,he's syaying positive in very stressful situations,he's quietly supporting and standing by his star quarterback daunte,he's showing great conviction in his beliefs and philosophies and most of all acting like a man and not losing it,these are qualities that are a recipe for sucess, give the man some time,he will persevere and his men will follow.

He definatly is "our guy". The guy can coach... but there are alot of factors that are playing in right now. If our team was stacked with talent like the Wanny years... and we were still this bad just because we were being out coached... then I would have a major problem...

No. Will you people still support him when we go 1-15. Yes we will go 1-15. I've said it for two weeks now. Just watch. We are THAT bad.

He's got 2 more seasons after this one if I'm the owner. That would take him through 4 years of a 5 year deal and if he doesn't have this team improved next year and in the playoffs the next, then he'll go. He'll re-sign and head back to college. I still think Saban is an above average coach I just think that right now, he's got to get help on the offensive side of the ball not only talent wise but also with his coaches and coordinators. It's wrong to give up on Saban this fast. A ton of Super Bowl winning head coaches have had seasons like the one we are!

I removed the "In Saban We Trust" coin from my sig, but I still believe he will get us there eventually. However he is still learning how to be a head coach in the NFL, and he needs to get better control of his players.

I doubt that he is the guy to lead us to a Superbowl. I think he will end up resigning after around four seasons of sub-mediocrity.
