No matter what you might think of his skillset, is there any denying that RT17 is the toughest, most resilient and sturdiest QB in the league?

Can you think of any other QB over 4+ years of comparable almost continual, physical abuse, who has missed less time?

Or bounced up as quickly with little or no complaint about the reasons he was pissing blood?

Can we at least get a consensus on THIS?

I really think he is. Has he ever actually a missed a start? Can't recall one.....But aside from all that, the way he stands in there and gets the throws off, while not always 100% advisable to just stand there, i've never seen a guy so fearless in that regard. this past game was the perfect illustration, especially considering the end result of all those plays.

Makes me proud he is our QB!

I don't think there is any doubt...

One day, someone is going to make a cut up of all his hits....

The video may be a couple of hours long....

He's up there, but I think Eli Manning still is the toughest. I just remember the playoff game a few years ago against San Fran when he got murdered on every drop back.

From a physical standpoint, nobody has taken more abuse than Tannehill and I still think we are due for him to have a major injury at some point. He gets through this stretch with all the physical defenses he is going to face over the next 6 weeks. It would be mighty impressive.

More impressive than that, yesterday we saw him show off the "mental toughness", the stuff we see from guys like Rodgers and Wilson, two QBs who also take a good amount of hits physically, but find ways to slit your throat when you give them a crack. Would love to see more of that . . . Ryan has the talent, just bring that killer tenacity every week.

Absolutely! As Gase said in his post game presser yesterday, he's a beast!

Yea Eli is another one . . . some tough dudes in the NFL. These questions are always difficult because I know personally outside of our games I don't watch any other team's entire game unless I'm just chilling.

Luck got hurt last year but he takes a pounding as well.

He never missed a start. He did exit the game vs the Jets in 2012(?) and Matt Moore led the team to a win. I think it was like 30-9.

One game does not equal 4+ seasons.

I've seen other QBs take hits but most of them start crying to the refs and calling for flags or they'll say something in the post game press conference...Tannehill has done neither.

Luck brings it on himself most of the time because he likes to run and won't slide but he did miss a lot of last season because of a lacerated kidney I think.

YES!

It's time that Dolfans & the rest of the NFL start appreciating THill's toughness. The guy was pissing blood after games last year and he stayed in the game. He may not be perfect, and he throws at least one boneheaded pass per game, but he is a tough SOB. Yesterday he stood in there, knew he was going to take the hits and was throwing dimes.

He gets a lot of heat for smiling or whatever when something goes wrong. But I would rather have that than a QB griping and his players and refs after every play like Rivers and others do. He is a freaking stud when it comes to taking hits and getting up. One day hopefully he can combine his pocket guts with a little bit more scrambling. I think that is good for the team and his health.

I havent seen a dude take a beating like Tanny since Rocky 4.

He is like a piece of iron.
