During the course of this win streak we've really seen the D-line's chemistry come together. Holliday, Taylor, Traylor, and Carter have meshed so well it would be hard for me to envison them leaving just yet. To me it wouldn't make sense since all the pieces to replacing them are not intact just yet. I think another year with these guys would serve this team well.

Don't forget Manny Wright who is coming through the system at NT though. If we get rid of Traylor, hopefully Manny will fill in the void in that chemistry. IMO, JT works awesome with just about anybody - Ogunleye, Armstrong, Carter, Holliday, Bowens, Chester, D. Bo, so he's settled, but I'm LOVING what I'm seeing between Holliday and Carter. Those guys look like twins out there and always seem to be in on each others sacks and fumbles.

I think the current D-line, with the exception of Traylor, can be effective for 2 or 3 more seasons. If we can get another run-stuffer, we'd be in real good shape. I know we have Manny Wright, but I don't think he is ready to be counted on as the main man yet. He still needs another year or two to get ready.
I DO think it would be nice to keep Traylor as long as we can keep him for a good price. But we need to sign another run stuffer who is younger. I think we let Zgonina go.

enig, I think what we will see is a constant turnover underneath these guys hunting for someone able to take the job away. I think Saban is in a constant quest to find players who have not been coached up to their maximum potential. For the future this will provide us with draft picks...coin of the realm, ever improving our talent depth. I too think we will see them here next year as they work well together and they are mostly on the cheap. Besides, it's always good to be able to rotate the big eaters. They have found success here and see themselves as part of it but remember, BB is the master at recognizing when a player is done and I hope Nick can too, so we will just have to trust him.

next year will be zignonia 14th yr and traylors 16th yr,most likely 1 or both will be gone to make room for wright and vickerson, miami will only keep a certain amount of d-lineman,sad asthat might seem. next years d-lineman will look like this unless a major impact player comes along at the right $$$$ and place in draft. carter, bowens, taylor, volliday, roth, wright, vickerson{only can be 1 more, traylor, zignona or new blood} total 8

Soon we're going to have to find JT's replacement. He may still have a few great years left, but right now JT's backup is David Bowens who's good as a pass rusher, but mediocore as a full-time starter. Hopefully we can find another dominate end in the draft that can develop behind JT.

I Would Say Cut Jeff Z, Mix Traylor In With Vickerson/ Manny
D Bowens Will Probaly Stay. Roth And Carter Will Be Here.
Plus Holliday Can Play De Or Dt.
Im Sure We Will Draft A Dt Or Sign Some One In Fa

I think Carter, Holliday, Bowens, and of course JT will be around next year. I wouldn't mind seeing Traylor back if he has it in him. Wright, Roth, and Vickerson will probably all have bigger roles and a NT via draft or FA is almost certain.

Has anyone heard any news on Larry Chester or TimBo?

I think Traylor is gone. It seems like he wants out or someone told him that he is going to be out. He did a pretty good job this year, but he's not nearly playing as well before/after he got hurt then he was early in the season, which you would expect for a 36 year old.

Zgonina, I dont know about. He's played well consisntantly through the season. He is some sort of ageless wonder, able to fill in nearly any position on the D-line and do a solid job.

Holliday stays, IMO. He's cheap, and has made some big plays.

Carter too. He's not as cheap, but again, he has done a good job.

I want Traylor to stay. He is stil very productive and as long as a player is producing, there should always be room for him on the team's roster. Carter is still a good player, but only 6 sacks playing opposite Jason Taylor just won't cut it as far as I'm concerned. Holliday is playing the way he played at Green Bay so he is still very good. Zgonina is not very stout against the run and his pass rush has fallen off. Roth has done nothing but will be back. I would not draft a DL this year until I see what Wright, Vickerson and Roth are really all about.
