I put close to $120 on the fins this week to cover the (+3) spread, along with about 75% of the people that bet on the texans and fins game.

So in other words 75% of people had the fins to cover the spread.

Obviously the casinos and betting sites wanted the Texans to cover the spread.

So let's go back to the fins game. Scrub scored with 3 seconds left. there was a one point difference. Why go for the two?!? there is 3 seconds left! there is not even a possibility that the fins could run into field goal range! Of course they didn't get the two point conversion. That's good for me but blows completely that the fins lost. I was the game with my bro and we were going to seriously jack some Houston fans for chanting "miami dolphins suck"

I laughed at them and clapped and said, "wow you guys are amazing! your one and five!"

While I said, "one and five" I put up my middle finger with my left hand and put up five fingers with my right. LOL they didn't know what to say. It shut the crowd up real quick lol.

Okay I went on a tangent but what did you guys think about the two point play at the end?

I can see the reasoning in case of a penalty or something putting us in FG range. I didn't even think twice about it.

It is smart to go for the two. You can fair catch the kick-off, or neel down and take a timeout...which we did. Then what happens if we get a decent play with a defensive penalty which gives us a shot at a kick??? This exact scenario happened a few years ago....forget the teams...think it was Cincy....but it can happen. If you can go up by a field goal you do...

No conspiracy here....move along.

I don't think the NFL is fixed but after watching the questionable pro-Notre Dame calls on Saturday, there's a strong argument that the NCAA is another story.

Dude, it's the NFL and crazy things happen. Wins come at a premium and you take no chances. Coaches go by a "points chart" to determine whether or not to kick a field goal or go for two.

Vegas is dead on the money 95% of the time. They're professionals. They're not in this profession to lose money. That's why when you lay $1 they're laying $0.91 and not even money. That's why they shift lines throughtout the week to try and blance where the money is because when they're laying $0.91 to your $1 they're not going to lose money unless they're just WAY off on the line and the public hits it.

The NFL isn't fixed. Coaches do not care about covering spreads. They don't watch film Monday thru Saturday trying to figure out how they can cover the spread. The Rams weren't scheming to keep it within 14 of the Redskins.

It's not happening.

Why wouldn't you go for two? The extra point is meaningless. If there is time left on the clock for the other team to have a possession, then going for two insures a touchdown is the only way to lose.

It usually won't make a difference, but that's why it's done, because once in a blue moon, it is necessary and the team would look like fools for not thinking about it or planning for it.

I will say this year's officiating might as well be rigged, because it is some of the worst I've seen in a while. And there have been some bad calls in the last decade, but not so consistently like this year.

First of all the Texan fans might think you are not very bright.

They're not one and five, they're one and four. So I kind of think, you made a fool of yourself for not being knowledgeable about your oppt.

Oh who cares! One and five or one and four it doesn't matter. They suck anyways.

Yeah, I forgot that you can get a defensive penalty and still run a play. It makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification guys .

I don't think that the NFL is fixed. I was just wanted some clarity as to why they would do that. I love the NFL.

What did you guys think of the last play? Why not put Henne in to bomb one to the end zone for a miracle or maybe a defensive pass infer.?

NO, it was about a 50/50 on who bet who. Otherwise the line would change until it became so. Vegas makes their money on their 10% VIG!!

and Vegas couldnt care less who the **** wins or loses, they make their 10% on losing bets (which again is always around 50%) all the time regardless!!

Because why not...who knows a PI penalty on a deep throw would put us in field goal range.

Ok, one play, we go deep, pass interference on the houston 25 yard line, we kick a field goal, OT. How about that for a good reason?
